Great job JPS  Cool Well done mate.

I slipped to 6th after missing yet another round. Think i only made it to 4 races of the whole season due to house move, ISP and now FPS problems.  Sad

Just to add to my annus horriblus, i just got laid off at work ..2wks notice  Sad
Not good about the job situation. Hearing it all too often at the moment. I hope you get something sorted out quickly.

Sorry to hear that Mark. Hope you find new work soon!

My wife and I have both just taken 20% pay cuts as the company we work for is struggling through the collapse of Lehmans specifically at the moment, but also the finanical sector falling to peices over night too.

I thought you guys were braking quite early for the chicane and T1 most of the time, but when HAL was following me towards the end, I guess it was my turn to be breaking early, because he ran wide trying to avoid me.

That was one of my silly mistakes in last nights race. Roll Eyes I dont think you braked early at all.

I had been pushing too hard with how late I could brake on that corner and did not compensate for the fact that I was so close behind you. When it looked like I would hit you, I through my car off track. Almost got stuck on the curbing, close one. Cheesy

Such a shame because all of my battles ended in a similar way last night. :'(

Sorry to hear about your problems MJ Embarrassed
I have been trying to get a decent job 'all year' so that I can pay off my student loan. But it is just not happening. :'( And now my prospects are only going to get worse from the look of it.

We just have to be British about it and patiently and gracefully wait for our economy to improve before returning to the good life. Similar mind set to that needed when queuing at the post office. Chin up lads.

thanks for the well wishes gents  Kiss

yeah not the greatest news to hear on a bleak monday morning  Sad
I work in building design so with all the banks withdrawing their capital, all the big stuff is getting shelved around the globe and i am freelance, so quickly in the firing line for lay offs.

on the brighter side, perhaps i'll finally get some weeks off for practise after working my ass off for 20+ years !  Smiley

Hope we can incorporate some parts of the 2006 mod into our next GT1 season - MC12 felt great at the test race in Magny Course and I hope I can drive it the next season. Then CBR9, then C6R.

Yes, I am showing as DNF because I hit the escape button a after I crossed the start/finish line after the race finish sign came up (after having done a warm down lap and hitting the escape button before the pit entrance), not to mention others drivers doing doughnuts round me Shocked and chatting about the race, always a sure sign the race has finished.

Never mind, not much can be done about it now I suppose :'(, sad technical end to what was a good season.

So are you saying you crossed the line for the chequered flag then did a slow down lap, but hit Esc rather than into the pits? Sounds like it assumed you did another lap. Bad luck anyway, I spent far too long in the pits having started with half-race fuel then deciding to change tyres as well as i didnt think they would last. It feels like the tyres just go to jelly then suddenly go back to something like normal after a few laps. Not sure what happend early on JPS you just seemed to spear off into the gravel, hit the curb wrong?

Its a shame we wont be using this again as its a track i like. What about the BMW Challenge version? That should be sorted, surely?

Was reasonably happy having only been lapped once by other GT2's and i'm finding i reach my peak sooner than before but can't seem to move it on at the moment.

Just wondering are we going to be waiting till after Chistmas for next season as last year it was a convienent break?

Sorry to hear about the job woes, Mark and Shark. Sadly its the sort of thing thats affects everyone not just specific sectors.

JPS, can you submit an 'incident report' please to remind somebody to look into it on the basis of the replay. Hitting Escape once you've actually been given the 'finished' message should never result in a DNF (though you can get a DQ after the flag). We've occaisionally had drivers about to be lapped see the chequered flag and hit escape wrongly thinking the race was over, which is all I can think of right now.

Scratch that, it appears that you crossed the line to start you final lap just ahead of FreQ as he took the chequered flag, saw a stranded Saleen a few corners from the end, and assumed that the race was over, pressing escape and returning to your garage just before the final corner of what should have been your final lap. Was a good race for me, at least my pc held out this time  Lips Sealed

Was a little surprised to get pole after downloading the track at 7pm. Anyway, thought Busi would come through anyway and after a while he did. Had a gap by then but it stayed about the same. After the stop it was about 8 seconds which slowly shrunk down bit by bit until the final few laps, where it stayed around 3-4 seconds. Lapping peeps in the final few mins was tense but everyone was polite (1 person decided to slow on the racing line in the middle of a corner...but on well). Hope I didn't make any lunges.

Gd race from Busi, who was faster than me. Sort your qually out!

The track was very high grip, so much so that it took me a few laps to acclimatise to it. Just had a look and this year, the GT1's were doing roughly 1:55's around the track...in 2008. These cars are 2004 right? Felt great in qually where it was like having speedbug in GTR1, but would be much better if we reduce the grip by about half.

And the Veedol chicane is evil. I don't think I ever took that corner the same twice in the whole race. T1 was fun though. Going in there, hitting the weird bumps and losing the back, drifting into the apex with the back hanging right out was fun, if bad for the laptimes/tyres Grin I was running 6.5/7.5 if that helps TT. Was going to raise it after noticing bottoming on the back straight but decided it was probably bad track coding as opposed to my ride height being the problem, so just made do.

Shame Jon didn;t race. That would have been fun  Embarrassed

Soz to Dave for ruining your lap. At least you don't get points for fastest laps. A point for pole could be a good idea though.
