I've recently driven the Honda here and have a sorted setup, but it still gets classed as a Honda performance Tongue As per usual if there's any possibility of driving in anything, I'll drive anything Smiley
Clive L has RL commitments, so BREASTS are down a honda

I'm unavailable tonight I'm afraid guys - not that BREASTs would want me onboard with my amazing finishing record in these challenges  Roll Eyes

Neil's happy for us to borrow the VT server for this race so it'll definitely be VROC.  I've updated the race details- I'll add the IP when I can.

Grats on the England result Nat and thanks Neil for offering to drive for us.

The situation is that I will drive if there is nobody to give the BREASTS Honda to.  If Neil is able to take over my seat then that would be most appreciated.  If UKGPL have a no-show and need him that's cool.  If that is the case then the BREASTS Honda, in my hands, is unlikely to get as far into the race as in the first option.

Please sort out the UKGPL team first before you worry about our little band.

I can race and will race if needed so that both teams have a full compliment of drivers.

With an hour to go thats our team finalised, Neil will drive the ukgpl BRM instead of me.  All our other drivers are confirmed with their cars, Remy as reserve if he's available.

The only concern we have is Phil, who was having some trouble at Kyalami and hasn't been around recently.

I'm concerned about myself too LOL.  Been working on my bathroom all day so not had chance to put any praccy in (not a good example for a mod Roll Eyes).  Hopefully my wheel will behave tonight.

Did even better than at Spa - last time out I did half a mile, this time I did even reach the start line. Made a reasonable start then the car infront jinked right as there was a Lotus dead on the grid. Spanked it and race over. Looking at the replay he didn't kill the car with the start - it looks like he joined the grid then went to toilet.

Oh dear. How much of an apology do I owe Lorenzo Sad

I realise I was broadside on the racing line, on a blind corner with a crest, and Prib said there was 4 secs to Lorenzo behind me. I thought it best to engage reverse and floor it to clear the line, but Lorenzo had already chosen his path around me.

Time like this sorry really doesn't cut it Sad Sad Sad

I've posted the results:

BREASTS four finishers 18+16+14+13= 61 points

UKGPL six finishers 17+15+12+11+10+9= 74 points

I've had a swift glance at some incidents on the replay- these are my first impressions.

Clive and Gasper both seem to have suffered freezes on the grid, they were right next to each other, but Clive was removed whereas unfortunately Gasper wasn't and Dave Randall ran into him, the collision then cost Storm Cloud his Cooper.

Neil took too much of the track trying to recover too quickly at Jan de Wyker, which took Lorenzo out, when Lorenzo was second.

Natan had a wobble slowing at Hugenholzbocht, which didn't help Hristo in first behind him and about to pass, however their subsequent minor collision at low speed seems to have been warp affected, which is why it cost Hristo the race.

Thanks to Neil for hosting and posting the replay, well done to Graham for the win and all who took part.

How frustrating!!!!  practiced with the Eagle until my hands bled. Well until I got fed up anyway. Wink

Qually went well, with as good a grid spot as I might have expected, given the star drivers up front.

Confident with race pace on full fuel and handling, so all set for some good fun with the Breasts....  Grin Grin

Check fuel level....add a gallon..just to be sure...  onto the grid....pulse rate rising........and..........and.......and.....nothing!!!! frantic hitting of keys to try and get my obviously stationary car vapourised, before there is carnage on the grid!! Which I hope I succeeded in doing, as I had no way of knowing wht the hell was happening around me.

To say the air turned blue is an understatement!! After all the build up to this needle match I was ready for some serious racing and trying to score some points. What an anticlimax!!?? just nothin' to do but kick my heels....and the cat!! if only I could have found her.

But it seems that UKGPL did not need my help, as they survived and scored well to come out on top..Well done guys  Grin Grin Grin

Thanks to Breasts for assembling a team from their depleted ranks and even bringing in one of our World Cup Heroes to bolster their campaign.

Numptygraph is here:

http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?p=3918385#post3918385

Think we must have lost Ian on the ferry crossing.

Synchronised screen freezes is a new one on me!  I feel very sorry for those who put in the practice but never made it to T1.

Greatly relieved that it was one of your own that disposed of Hristo for us.  Grin

My stooge from 17th to 6th was not too eventful but needed some concentration to keep the Honda under me.

Pleased as Punch that Graham Bridgett got the win.

Sorry is fine Neil, but don't feel too bad, you did the right thing. WAVED yellow flags actually mean something in real world or simracing.....and following drivers ignoring these signals, and approaching the scene of a spin at full race pace, often end up involved in unnecessary accidents and retirements. All great racers, aside from being able to lap at incredible speeds, also have another worthwhile virtue....Patience.
Well done Team, you did us proud.
Geoff.

Quite so Geoff.

But it is still a good idea if stationary vehicles stay that way until all approaching vehicles have passed.  4 seconds wouldn't be long enough for me to find reverse anyway.

From Neil's description Lorenzo had spotted him and was going to miss him until Neil moved.

I find that the problem with looking at aliens and trying to decide if they have backed off is that their "backed off" is much the same as my flat out.

The incident isn't on my replay so I wouldn't dream of making a judgement and since the race was a friendly I don't intend looking for it either.
