While UKGPL drivers have a tendency not to take enough notice of yellow flags and this should be penalised more often, it wasn't a factor in this incident.  Also, in real world racing you'd risk disqualification if you used reverse on the track, and Neil might have had to quit.

Though Neil was in an awkward spot, John and Ken were able to go around him without difficulty and the telemetry information isn't reliable enough that 4s was enough space to allow Lorenzo.  Also, had Neil confined himself to 'his' half of the track to extricate his car, Lorenzo wouldn't have had a problem.

If we can't get drivers off the grid safely and get leaders past backmarkers without problems these races will be in doubt, as the format wouldn't survive.  UKGPL team drivers should be prepared to avoid stationary cars on the grid, and should stay clearly within one half of the track when about to be lapped by the leaders.  Drivers without telemetry should use extreme care if they have to manoeuvre as Neil did.

Thanks to Clive for organising this race from the BREASTS side and to the BREASTS team for their sporting attitude to the incidents.  Though Clive is unwilling to organise the race again, and it'll have to be dropped from next season unless another BREASTS member emerges to replace him, this isn't because of what happened on the track.
