Moderator's Report

TrueTom gets the Bilstein chicane wrong in spectacular fashion, collecting Tyf, Aagramn, and Tom Cooper.

  • Racing incident

Smiler goes off after Triple and slides all the way across the gravel, just coming to rest on the track as Shark arrives.

Good comedy value if nothing else.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1926s

Shark is coming up to lap Jamera and follows him through the Shell Esses. As he comes out of the left hander, he stays right to allow Shark past, but Shark himself wants to stay right to defend against Blaz.

Jamera either brakes or backs of dramatically half way down the straight; luckily, Blaz has not attempted to get alongside Shark, who reacts quickly and darts out to the left to avoid Jamera.

  • Jameraadvice — don't lift off to let a faster car by if they're still behind you
  • Simon Gymer (Shark)advice — if a backmarker makes their chosen line clear, move to the other side

Probably my worst track. Just had a good practise session though. Pace wasn't great, but I kept it on the track for 12 laps so I'm happy with that.

My challenge is.... not to get lapped...for just one race!!

Keep the head woodee, just drive within yourself m8, brake a tad earlier etc, keep tyre temps down. Far be it for me to tell you how to drive man, but by not spinning at all in all of race you will probably save 20-30secs at least................My race pace is nothing to shout about but i race with the above in mind, concentrating in not spinning, let the other ppl make the mistakes, surprising how many places can be made up running at a average pace. Good luck  Cool

Really didn't get going at all tonight.

Poor quali but still 6 which was good considering. Then wimped out at first corner to let greg through. He left me pretty quickly so i tried to improve my really dissapointing race pace. Inevitably I spun and lost two places before I could safely rejoin. Still couldn't improve on race pace so I went about cruise to finish. Only fun I had was with Luis who quickly caught up with me after I had lapped him. Luis, you were so much quicker that I was actually trying to let you through but I think you were also quite wary so we had quite a few "no before you" moments. If only you could hear me shouting "go past, go past" from Cornwall your last spin might have been avoided Undecided. But thx for being so careful.

Still theres always next week (shame that its all over pretty soon). And the crawlers stay top thanks to Marks great win.

Well a good race for me.
Qualed 8th, ok time.
Overtook SBG on lap 1, and the 6th place car on lap 2. Then i'm up to 5th following a spin from Luis I think.
Few laps latter 4th spins and rejoins right in front of me, however decide not to risk overtaking.  Well 2 laps latter the car in 3rd spins and rejoins forcing me to slow down, again decide not to risk overtaking.
I then have a spin on the last turn and sit for what seems like ages letting a couple of backmarkers thro, didnt want to risk rejoining infront of them, got enough penalty points as it is.  Anyway this allows Tom thro so i'm down to 6th again.
Have a really good scrap with Tom over the remmaining laps, again to risky to attempt an overtake so just follow him and try to put a bit of pressure on.  Fair play to Tom, he dosnt give in to the pressure and takes a well earned 5th.
Overall a good race with one silly mistake costing me a place, at least I didnt hit anyone this week.  On to Brno where hopefully I can have another incident free race and claw back some of those points.

Well, that was an interesting one.  A great lap in qualy saw me nab pole by a couple of tenths - I knew that would be important, as it's impossible to pass here.  And so it proved.

Nice and predictably at the start Jon was snapping at my heels - I had a huge slide on cold tyres in the long left-hander, but managed to keep it on the road and in front of everyone else.

After the initial couple of laps, I went into plod mode.  Jon was snapping and ducking and diving on occasion behind me, but he had nowhere to go, as I resolutely held my line in defence.  It was fun, in a sadistic kind of way. Cheesy But no, it was bloody hard work - the tactics paid off in the end, as I won.  Credit to Jon for not getting too impatient and trying something silly - it must have been tempting.

Championship hopes now almost DOA, but I was pleased to have tightened my grip on 2nd place, at least.  I was hoping Shark might have been a bit further down the order, but he got 3rd in the end through some consistent driving - nice one.

Good race for the team, with SBG in 7th, and a great race from Jamera to finish 9th - good job.

See you at Estoril, which is the work of the devil.  As SBG says, real shame this season is ending, I've thoroughly enjoyed it.

Had an interesting race. Lost a lot of time at the start as there was a 4 car pile-up on the first lap, after a car spun at the fast chicane. Don't think it could have been avoided. Rejoined in about 16th. Caught up to Woodee and had a good scrap for a few laps until I made a mistake and ran off. Gained a couple positions during the middle of the race, until I again caught Woodee at the end. Was very close racing, but again I couldn't make a move stick. We had a bit of the drag race down the final straight and he crossed a couple tenths ahead. Overall, 12th not a bad result for me at by far my worst track, fairly happy with that.

Apologies if I held up any of the quick drivers while you were lapping me, I was struggling a bit and was slow and untidy at a few corners. At one point I drove onto the grass on the back straight when using the backwards view to check on a closing driver!

Excellent times at the front of the grid btw.

Had a good quali 0.2 slower than my PB so was happy with that  Grin
The race was pretty much the same all the way through, I just followed Mark around the track  Wink
I just couldn't seem to get on the power before mark or get a run on him, the closest I got was down the s/f straight but just couldn't get close enough to have a proper go. Everytime I got close in a bend he just accelerated away and it was the end of the straight before there was a chance for me to pass. Enjoyed it though, didn't get a moment to relax and had to keep trying hoping that Mark would make a mistake, but the boy's super smooth so no chance of that...  The Championship looks like it could be a close ending. A coulpe of 3rd's for me and..... Embarrassed but a couple of seconds and  Grin
Good to see ze penguins chasing the sharks up the team champ table. COME ON THE ZIP!!!!

I didn't make a good start, got a bit left behind. Started 14th or 15th i think.... but managed to get up to 11th or 12th because a few ppl fell off on first few laps. But then...I made a mistake and let them back through anyway.

pretty uneventful race... only made places when people fell off, never made a single passing manoeuver. Up to 11th, and as Aagramn said... he was giving me grief for last 5 laps or so. I hope I wasn't blocking you.... I may not have placed my car very fairly at some points. I managed to let some leaders through without letting him through.

Still.... feel so uncomfortable driving GTR. pedals seems very twitchy... only 3 parts to the accelerator... slow, medium and fast...nothing inbetween. I dunno if it's my pedals or just my ms ff having probs with GTR in general! Sad

I had better than expected race. First I made a mistake in the "S" and Zyp was braking to avoid me. I managed to go on but behind me there was a stall. Sorry all, it was unintentional but allowed me to pursue on. Then Louis made a mistake, but I remembered he was two seconds per lap faster so I let him through, wasn't in the mood to create another havoc in the same race. He went off a while later so I gained again. I couldn't quite close on, but then Greg made a mistake and i was wondering if I could keep him in the back. He was quicker and I was really cooking my fronts (130 in the end) but managed to keep the lead so he couldn't close. On another track he would have had me. But he was very patient and let me come 5th. I don't know if I would be as patient. Good race and some points for the Penguins.  Grin

No complaints here. I got alongside at one point when you ran a bit wide, but had to leave you room on the inside at the next corner and you were able to re-take the place. Thought it was good driving by both of us to keep it under control and avoid an incident.
