1:24 !!?  Shocked is that a typo?...please tell me it is  Embarrassed  laugh

i'm close then...only 10 seconds a lap to find  Lips Sealed

I found my dry setup pretty good under the wet circumstances at Oschers but the low wing was painful and the grunt of the engine in anything less than 3rd gear wanted to spit me off into the verges. Theres a lot of horses to contain  Tongue
Just sheer lack of wet weather sim-driving experience mostly thats costing me at moment. Should be used to it driving in the UK  Grin

Just been on the server for a while....qually session 2, totally flooded track...the lightening was quite nice to watch though.

Just crept into the 1:33's

Tried the Aston, love it! And it's a bit faster than the Lambo (1:25.6 my best laptime on race trim). I guess I'll take it tomorrow Grin

1:33's best laps in 50% rain, full wet.  1:34s/35s race pace in same conditions..when i can stay on the track  Tongue

1:27.1 best race spec dry lap using my wet setup.

Prob 25/26 dry qual times, not tried any yet.

I assume we would only be using 'changeable weather' for enduros,  and sprints would either be wet or dry ? Or is the plan to use it for both? Just thinking 40min sprints are a bit short for tyre strategies and pitstops  Undecided

Sprints would be awesome with those changes. What do you do, try and finish or make a quick stop and try to fight back. The perfect receipe to spice things up and to mix things around Smiley.

I think we should stick with the Season 8 plan, just extending the 'random but fixed' conditions to both Sprints, and retaining fully random changeable in Endurance. Caveat not knowing exactly what structure Season 9 will actually use yet. Cheesy

i think that would be great fun, cos i always wait just that extra little bit to see how the weather pans out, i'm usually wrong and end up pitting later than i should but thats the fun of it.

anyways,i practice a lot with rain conditions.

I'm not sure what happened tonight.

Disconnect during practice....restarted my computer but was unable to get back in for some reason.  Sad

I must apologise to everyone I clobbered on lap 1 - I'd done no practice at all on race fuel or medium tyres and I massively overestimated how much grip I would have and slid all over the place, putting David Milne off and then most likely causing havoc as I let most of the field back past in order to try and slot myself in behind him.

After that I drove okayish and made my way back up to about 8th behind MJ's 'Vette. The Aston seems very sensitive to tyre condition - it went through a really nasty loose phase just as I caught Jorgen (looked like he was having the same thing!) and then came back, only to go into horrid understeer as both ends passed through 10 on the xPD thing.

what happened to the blinking rain then ?....27 degrees in donington tonight in december !  laugh

totally wrong footed all my prep, not to mention wasting my time rain practise  Roll Eyes , and even on grid at race start i took one look at the dark sky and swapped my dry race setup for my 'compromise' dry/wet setup only for it to get hotter and hotter in the race to the point where i had to keep short shifting to stop my engine overheating. taz

Had a great race, stayed in formation with Martin ahead and spanner or Lagowsky? a few secs behind. No matter what i tried i couldnt close on Martin for lap after lap but eventually i started to whittle away a few tenths each lap until the gap came down to 1-2 seconds and the last 5-10 minutes were total concentration on trying to close that small gap and/or get past him.
Brilliant last few laps with us bumper to bumper in some corners, all good clean racing and Martin kept his butt suitably wide in the final few corners as i sought a way past, ending with almost a photo finish...superb !   thumbup1

Sorry to Matt? who i clipped early on in race at mid corner at copse  Embarrassed , you seemed to brake or pause mid turn and i had no way of avoiding your rear, apologies.

Was disapointed it didnt rain later in race to spice it up.  Sad  but great racing all the same. Nice car spread too.  Cool

I've had same issues for the last three races, off line the sim is fine, jump onto UKGTR Server and I crash at least once 'black screen with the sound file blarring out constantly' any ideas anyone, is it this new GTR pack 2891? I don't normally get these type of issues.

Great race, really enjoyed myself, 11th position from 18th quali.....  Cool
