All members welcome.

This will be the fourth race of a short series designed to test the new GT1 and GT2 cars in a competitive setting.

Practice 1:20:15(10 mins)
Qual 2:20:25(15 mins)
Race:20:40(40 minutes)note: no warmup

Cars allowed: Any GT1 from the v2.8.9.1 pack (download from here)
It would be good to have a mix of original and add-on cars.
Weather: changeable, based on real-world conditions at the start of the event.
Track: UKGTR Donington GP 2004 (download as part of the UKGTR Track Pack v1.2)
Race Start Time: 14:00.
Pit Stops: None required.

Server: UKGTR Season 8.9
Password: see above

Notes:
  • Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules - especially the speed limiter rolling starting procedure and the rules about in-game chat messages.
  • You will not be able to join the server without v2.8.9.1 of the UKGTR car pack and v1.2 of the Track pack (see download links above).
You will not see skins correctly without the optional, matching GT1 skins pack.
  • Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced.
  • Please use the Driver Details page to ensure that the league management software has your correct GTR2 'Driving Name' (not necessarily the same as your lobby name).

Lambo race laptimes: consistant high 25's
Best Marcos race laptime: low 27

For sure it won't be me driving the undrivable Grin

With Jeff on track looks like I'll have to take my Lambo if I don't wanna be lapped lol

If it rained at Oschers while the weather was overcast, it will surely rain at Doni.  Grin

jeesh, these GT1's are just as much a handful with a (what i presume is) a decent wet setup as they are in a dry configuration.  Sad

Any setup tips for these monsters in the wet ?  Im using 3rd and 4th in the corner exits for traction and have bumped my power diff up to 70%, Coast 60% for extra traction.

I take it softer anti-roll bars and springs is the way to go? Have dropped them a little.

1:34.054 so far qually fuel. Soft wets in 50% rain.

Less camber seems to help....and reduce brake pressure.

I also reduce sensitivity of throttle too

Yes, no problem Smiley. Will need to create something first Cheesy.

Why is everybody practicing in 50% wet? At Oschersleben I drove with a dry setup, extremely stiff and low and it was tricky, but still quick.

Softer, higher and wets are my tips Tongue

Not that I will be making this race, does it really make that much of a difference making a wet setup in case of rain or does it cost you too much if it stays dry and doesn't give much advantage if it rains?

Depends on your dry setup. When your dry setup is already very stable it will work just fine in the wet. I already have an oversteering dry setup, which could make that setup in the wet impossible to handle. However, I never make drastic changes to my dry setup. It's oversteery, but it's a very predictable oversteer, and it doesn't snap away.

Here is my TT and setup. Not a perfect lap as I got annoyed by my ghost letting the racing line disappear  Undecided :
