REALLY GOOD RACING... I'm having a cold/flue and is a bit out of shape, but managed to end both races. And as someone earlier said, great fun in GTC cars now when they are more equal. See you all when the season starts. PS To all thous that been working on the cars/skins and the engine sounds... AWSOME WORK ... DS

That Z4s external engine sounds need reducing in volume, you cannot hear your own or anyone elses engines or gearbox when that is anywhere near you on track, really disorientating. Thought it was the vertigo at first but think its the z4. Probably a value in the .aud file needs reducing. As I had said, the one with such a loud external (and incar!) engine sound is the Vertigo, I could barely hear my engineer! First race was really funny, battling hard with many cars ahead and behind all the time. I had an added difficulty because with my engine sound I couldn't hear were the others behind were, something I pretty much use, so sorry if I was a bit unpredictable, I think MJ even tapped me once (with no consequences ) Just before 2nd race suddenly I had a problem with graphics, they all turned strange just as if a visual effect had been added. Left the server but still problems. Went to desktop and back in to see it was working fine after that but I was not in time to join the race

Good stuff. No, GREAT stuff! Frantic, tense and enjoyable sprint. Started from the back both times and had a lot of fun clawing up the ladder. Numerous fights in both races, lots of smoke everywhere. Had a blast with API in the second race, Spyker and fezza are really well balanced, was great. Monza Junior was funny. Unprepared setup, strapped on OschersB setup with a bit lower wing and let fly. Funny was when I lost my splitter in the second half of the race and the car was faster then. Next? TT

had a quick look at the .aud files for the z4 and the vertigo. all the sound figures have been ramped up so guess thats why they are so loud. Backfire and stutters are higher, also 'min engine volume' setting. A little request:- Can the mod pack creators also rename the .aud files for the 997cup cars to '997cup' instead of 997RSR please, (means 1 line in the .car file needs changing to suit too) as i create my own improved soundpacks for the porsches and its very confusing having same sound files as for the 997RSR and i dont want to over-write anything as takes a lot of time to create. ps..if any Porsche drivers want my improved sounds, just pm me and i will email them to you. Dan Minton and JPS already have my 997RSR sounds and both like them over the stock versions. I have now done the 997 cup car also. I am quite chuffed with them, much more meaty and racey flavoured flat six sounds I didnt create the actual .wav files but have assembled the best from various porsche sound packs over the last couple of years and put them together, editing the sound and config files to suit.

Was there a post announcing the proposed changes to GTC? It all looks very different to when I last raced - is there a list of the tweaks to the cars?

ps... is there a reason the 997 cup has been put on Pirellis ? The cup cars use Michelin Pilot sports in the real world. Theres also the 'Porsche Michelin Supercup' championship as a slight clue and this from Porsches website:- "Porsche and Michelin look back on a longstanding and extraordinarily successful cooperation. Together, they won the famous Le mans 24 Hours - last evidence for common achievements with the GT1 in 1998. Currently, Michelin supplies racing tires for the 911 GT3 Cup cars in Porsche Michelin Supercup and the worldwide Porsche Carrera Cups, for the 911 GT3 RSR’s in the ALMS and the FIA GT championship as well as for the Porsche sports cars in Porsche Sports Cup."

It's in the README for the pack itself...

That's how it came to me, and probably how it was delivered to Psuedo too. The 997 Cup was a bit of a mess, hence little things like the misleading AUD file naming.

This is all new cars - Pseudo and his elves have already done some balancing but Season 8.9 is all about probing the depths of the new cars and seeing what's what.

Really enjoyed that last night. Car of choice would be the Z4 as it feels like it's on rails, but I knew it would be popular so... 1st race was in the F430GTC (a very nice 2nd choice ). I found myself in 5th by the end of lap 1, after others misfortunes & then did my best to stay as high up the field as I could. Hung on to 8th, inches ahead of Spanner in a most enjoyable race. Also managed to knock 0.5 secs of my PB during the race with a 1:02.8 2nd race, I saw nobody was in the Lotus so I thought I'd give it a go (so some performance info could be noted) having not been too bad when I'd tried it out before. Found it a bit lacking in grip surprisingly (& yet twitchy) at the corners & lacked a little umph on the straights. Having not spun the F430 even once, I was most disappointed to find myself doing spirals in this Lotus on about 4 occasions! I see the next races are up... looking forward to getting back in these cars again already! p.s. Congrats to Team Oldie's Lazlow on your 1st win (We don't get many lol)

I think the short races and the short narrow track made it completely manic, but really enjoyable highlights include going around the outside of people in the hairpin, getting undertaken by someone in the Z4(Jorgen?) at the same moment getting overtaken by TT into the final corner. Not sure how i stayed on. Then Lazow diving down the inside again at the last corner but before hitting each other all other cars disappeared for a second then reappeared. It obvious from the livery that the porka isnt a real GT3 cup car from the official races. I guess it must be Spa 24h car as it has the proximus sponsorship. Did think the pirelli's were a means of balancing.

Sorry to bother you Admins... but any chance of adding Estoril to the server please? I just cycled through the tracks available & it's not there currently. Cheers
