Hmm.. new Vertigo doesn't really go, finally managed to get a 47.6 after some trying but first lap out in the 430 to try it and did a 47.3!
Might be just me but it doesn't seem to like revving, power seems to die before reaching upper revs.

Oh! Huh  Yeah ok 37, 47 its an easy mistake!

I tend not to be concentrating on bigger numbers just the 10ths so when it comes to remembering times when posting i may be a bit off!

Never got comfortable trying to brake in the vertigo, all or nothing it seems so i'm locking up everywhere. Probably just take a standard 996RS as its for 80mins.

Mid 1.36 Race pace in the Viper GTC, dam I love that car Grin

I am however expecting to take on rather a large amount of fuel in the pit stop. Possibly as much as 50L more fuel than I would in the Z4. Not sure how it compares to the other cars.

Anyone else considering the Viper, do NOT set the rev limit on max if you are using manual clutch. The engine will not make it, but that is the way it should be in a Viper Grin If you just put the rev limit one setting lower than max you should be ok.

See you later Smiley

After too many mistakes from being knackered after a busy weekend, i thought i'd rather use the rest of the time to rest!

Brilliant first 20 mins or so battling with Busi and H@L and Prof and Legzy in the mix somewhere but H@L pulled away too much but TT was making mistakes and dropped back and managed to get by but was pitting. Decided to change just the fronts and add in 50L but i think leaving the rears certainly wasnt that good a move as i was gradually losing the rears too much. Was running 7th at the time and would hopefully have finished there as there was quite a gap around me.

The soft fronts and hard rears worked brilliantly all through the race, sometimes catching people on the brakes rather alarmingly!

 Embarrassed Seriously embarrased.
Was it wet by the way? I saw nothing, was all over the place on the warm up lap!
I think I took sooo long in the pits setting stuff, that the AI took over
Simon got past ok, but then the blasted compunter starts fighting with HAL
as he's trying to lap. Sorry HAL, anything you were saying to the screen was nothing
to my rantings NOOOOOOOOOO! stop ! move over you mindless heap of junk
Was desparately thumbing through the manual to see how I could regain control
When it starting bumping doors with HAL I just escaped out for safety
Damm that was anoying.

"I" apparently. Had it been a league race I would have dropped out immediately of
course, was hoping to get control back. I hit almost every key except I

There's something in the UKGTR rules about this - a change you can make to stop it happening.

I really enjoyed that; the Aston isn't quick but it's fairly easy to be consistent in. Had some good scraps early on with some of the other slower drivers, then a brilliant ding dong with JPS's 911 over the last few laps. I made my move but it was a lap too early; once I tipped my hand he just had to repass me on the loooong straight and then defend the same spot on the final lap.

Just what the doctor ordered after a really awful stint in iRacing this afternoon where a slower car took me out with a brake check.

Awesome race Grin

Sorry about the warm up lap Embarrassed I hit my ignition button instead of my pit limiter button. It took me a few seconds to realise what had happened :'(

Very, very sorry all. I should take a warning or something for that as it could have caused absolute chaos. Luckily Gazza and the people behind kept moving to prevent the Field from stopping completely.

Many, many battles Smiley I need to check the replay to get all the names sweatdrop But I do remember battling Busi, Gazza, Evert, Spanner, Simon, Legzy and TT. Great stuff, especially Gazza and TT Smiley

No worries phspok, I actually lost it and your car making contact set me straight. Not too much damage either Smiley

See you next time Grin

lol that was fun with that chaos at the start with H@L stopping, I just went right and ahead to avoid being hit. But looks like nobody got hit just some taps. Something really difficult to manage, well done all in that one Grin

I had really good fights with many cars, but my Gillet was just not fast enough and the cars that managed to pass me pulled away. I pitted early as I had quite worn front tyres and felt slicks were gonna be fast enough. And they were, I was already lapping 2 seconds faster when I exited the pits. But soon I put a wheel on the grass while braking for T1 and lost it big time. Decided to go and study for an exam I have this week lol

That was a triumph of strategy over raw speed for me, but fun nevertheless.

I struggled on hard, cold tyres in the early damp laps with my Z4 brimmed to 100 litres. My laptimes slowly picked up and I made up places as people pitted and ended up in the lead with less than ten minutes left praying for some rain so that everyone would have to stop again.  Grin

In the end my poorly executed 'splash and dash' put me down to sixth and I gained 5th on the last corner when I guess TT ran out of fuel.

Well done to fellow Sharks for finishing well above qually positions.
