That seems to work OK for helmet colours, but for liveries, won't that just apply it for all cars?

Someone will have to make custom files for all cars with all numbers eg bra1.mip, bra2.mip etc etc

Unless they only make specific numbered cars for each manufacturer. So if you use the brabham you have to be number 1, then you would only need to make a bra1.mip. As Jack mentioned then we would need to join the server in specific order to get that to work.

I'll get him next time.  Grin

I'm lucky there's no wife to hear whatever I mumble in my sleep.  Cheesy

Though we will have to add some files, it shouldn't affect the rest of your GPL install, as we'll be running on the GPFun server which is set up for liveries:

"That's not the way it works. GPL uses skins with number 1 to 22 ; we use numbers above those so that the customized skins are displayed only on our server, set up to use "customized numbers". Of course, backing up the "cars" directory is always a good idea Smiley . The only thing one must be careful about is that the car version must match the "skin version". That is to say that if you have a skin for the Ferrari v48 you must use the Ferrari v48, not the v36."

We've gone for BRM racing green and black and silver as the team colours, a combination of old and new.  The base livery is the No.21 in this set: http://stex68.altervista.org/GPfun-Carset.htm

When we've finalised the race details I'll begin another thread.
