Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

Blanchimont first lap. Jose steers into Reign Man and causes both to spin and there is mayhem behind them.
Unnecessary contact which could have been avoided and it cost many people the race.
The people at the back of the grid should have approached the incident more cautiously and should have lifted off atleast and not head towards it full throttle.

The weird thing is, no victims reported this, so the driver gets away with it.

Server replay time: 1754s

Syd goes wide at the exit of Poehon and rejoins right in front of Legzy. Instead of staying on the right side of the track, Syd suddenly goes to the left crossing in front of Legzy.
This gave Legzy the opportunity to overtake on the inside, which probably prevented him from losing time at this incident.

Syd should check his mirrors before rejoining, and not realizing approaching cars after the rejoin. However, there didn't seem to be a big time loss for Legzy here as he was able to overtake immediately.
Hence just the warning and no penalty.

Server replay time: 1941s

Syd goes wide at Blanchimont and drives on the slippery run off areas, which is even more slippery due to the rain. He loses control there and shoots across the track, well in front of Legzy. He hits the barrier and rejoins, but stays quite far to the left, leaving more than half the track for Legzy. Legzy probably expected Syd to came back more to the right and takes a bit of grass, losing a bit of control in the process and there is slight contact.

It was a messy situation, but mostly due to the circumstances. Again, better rejoin is required and give way to incoming traffic, but this was not severe enough for me to hand out a penalty.

Server replay time: 2444s

Syd goes off and rejoins the track, this time slowly and with care. He stays to the left and leaves the whole track open for Legzy who is approaching.
It's normally better to only rejoin the track when there is no traffic coming, but this rejoin didn't seem to be a threat to anybody.
It's also the responsibility of the other drivers to approach an incident or off with care, better safe than sorrow.

Very Angry!

Taken out of the race on the first flying lap.  It's an endurance race for christ sake!

Apologies to those caught up in the aftermath.

Gutted and annoyed about that Sad

Coming round on the first lap it it seemed there was a car off around ever corner. Then while trying to get a run on Mcfids there is someone in the middle of the track round Blanchimont Shocked. Clattered the barriers and Mcfids , sorry, realised steering was bent so decided to pit but never saw the pit lane lights/ line so ended up with a stop go. The stop took ages to repair then was out of position a few laps down in traffic, ran wide through pouhon spun crossed track, hit barriers and Escaped out before anyone came round.

Nightmare, had a good setup for the race and then got caught up in the huge opening lap shunt at Blanchimont. Had to pit and the car was never quite the same after that and after another big shunt I was way behind everyone else.

Blunder's car was upside down at Eau Rouge for several laps and eventually I decided to try and bash it upright again but then he escaped back to the pits - why didn't you just do that in the first place if you didn't want to continue?! Roll Eyes

By the times my slicks were hot enough to start picking up the pace in the hope that Jan's SEAT would need a splash and dash they were fairly worn and after an nth off I called it a night.

In GTR2 XD mod, how can I set the motec info to the lower right corner of my screen?
I've tried changing values in MoTeC HUD postion line inside GTR2-XD.ini, but it stayed in the same place.

Here's how it looks now:

The values in the ini file are based on the pixel positions on your screen from something like the top-left. So if you have a 1680 width screen and want to move it to the opposite side of the screen the X: value should be something around 1200.

A good return for me apart from not putting enough fuel in and having to pit 2 laps from the end Sad
Freq was alot faster and for a bit I thought the old dog was playing with us Wink I got a bit excited and shot my bolt into the accelerator pedal and spun coming out of the hairpin when really close to Joss. I damaged my front end further around the lap and decided to pit early. Apart from that had a few moments when driving of line in the damp conditions but nothing major. At the end of the race I came across syd drake who I thought was trying to fight us for postion but only later saw that he was close to the man in front and I backed off but that prolly cost him alot of time fending me off. Nobody was near me so, sorry Syd Sad

Grats to Freq and Evert on their victories Cool

Race went well, apart from realising I was going to be about 2Litres short of fuel at the end....had to make a splash and dash which at spa is never that, instead it is a long slow crawl to get to the Garage....lost two or three places as a result of that.....the damp conditions were exactly what I needed...as I was just off the pace in the F430 good stable car though, but not quite the 996 RSR Porka..for me anyway.

Thanks. Too late for this race, but now I can turn it on for the next one.
Had an OK race for first time out in GTR2. In the first 20 laps I kept passing an F430 then going off and letting him back in front. In the end made too many mistakes and let him through for good.
This was also the first time I had to think about the weather. I've only raced in GPL and GTL, and it's always dry there. So I started on hard slicks, and that was a wrong choice. Stopped for my only pitstop after 21 laps, put on medium slicks and was 3-4 seconds a lap faster. Should I have put soft slicks on? It looked like light rain out there, so I was even thinking of some intermediate tires.

I was alongside Reign Man coming out of Stavelot and as I turned in to the left kink before Blanchimont the car moved slightly more than I was expecting (Probably because I turned the wheel too much like a tit) and my front left tire touched Reign Mans rear right. This sent both cars in to the wall and then back out on to the track.

What can I say. Roll Eyes

Yet another ridiculously stupid mistake from me, this time on the pace lap. Tried to take the last corner in 6th gear because I was saving as much fuel as possible and the car did not turn much so I hit the wall loosing my splitter. Angry

Happy to get 6th but it was most definitely from other peoples misfortune. Was a hardcore race.

Well done podiums. Nice one Gazza getting up there with John and FreQ.  alien Believe!

Wow.....really fun race  Cheesy ... grats Evert on GT2 win !!  Cool

Got a good time in quali early on to get a pole time and it held, I spent most of the time concentrating on tyres temps, but alas it was pointless!! lol

A damp track at the beginning had me thinking of inters but I don't know the tyre or how hard the compound was so I stuck to my med/hard slicks. Throughout the whole race my temps were below 60 degrees cos of the temp drop! The race start was manic!!! I pulled a lead by getting cleanly thru the first couple of pile ups... nuke ...until the one at Blanchimont where I had to go off-track to avoid wot seemed like everyone and glanced off the wall...... damaging the right-corner. Car did seem to handle ok tho Embarrassed but the right-hand-side was bashed in.

Evert and I pulled out a lead in GT2 and over many recovering GT1 cars and he passed me as I made a mistake twice, just running a wheel into the gravel. In the pit stop I took on only fuel and came out just in front of Evert. I held him off for a lap and we had some great racing!! side-by-side stuff  Tongue Wink and he got passed. We battled hard for 15 mins until I got a stop/go after getting out of shape at Eau Rouge.... Undecided .... that secured Everts victory ( Tongue) and I got 2nd  scooter

Grats Freq and hope we didn't get in the way too much  Wink

Stupid, stupid, stupid me. Didn't check the weather before hitting the race button. Wrong tires no control. Then about half a lap FPS went to 2. Waited about 10 secs on side of track. Returned to normal about 112FPS. Never had that to happen before. Wrong tires and my bad driving caused me to leave the track again. This time broke it beyone repair. Sorry if I caused anyone a problem.

I don't think there were any right tyres Smokey, they were all compromises tonight really. I think in hindsight, soft slicks would have been the right choice for stint 1, switching to mediums for stint 2. Inters weren't really needed except for maybe the first couple of laps.

The pile up shows how important it is to give each other racing room. UKGTR is particularly good with it's driving standards, so this thankfully is a rare sight.

My 360 spin on lap one was soo cool/flukey  Cool
