Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

Blanchimont first lap. Jose steers into Reign Man and causes both to spin and there is mayhem behind them.
Unnecessary contact which could have been avoided and it cost many people the race.
The people at the back of the grid should have approached the incident more cautiously and should have lifted off atleast and not head towards it full throttle.

The weird thing is, no victims reported this, so the driver gets away with it.

Server replay time: 1754s

Syd goes wide at the exit of Poehon and rejoins right in front of Legzy. Instead of staying on the right side of the track, Syd suddenly goes to the left crossing in front of Legzy.
This gave Legzy the opportunity to overtake on the inside, which probably prevented him from losing time at this incident.

Syd should check his mirrors before rejoining, and not realizing approaching cars after the rejoin. However, there didn't seem to be a big time loss for Legzy here as he was able to overtake immediately.
Hence just the warning and no penalty.

Server replay time: 1941s

Syd goes wide at Blanchimont and drives on the slippery run off areas, which is even more slippery due to the rain. He loses control there and shoots across the track, well in front of Legzy. He hits the barrier and rejoins, but stays quite far to the left, leaving more than half the track for Legzy. Legzy probably expected Syd to came back more to the right and takes a bit of grass, losing a bit of control in the process and there is slight contact.

It was a messy situation, but mostly due to the circumstances. Again, better rejoin is required and give way to incoming traffic, but this was not severe enough for me to hand out a penalty.

Server replay time: 2444s

Syd goes off and rejoins the track, this time slowly and with care. He stays to the left and leaves the whole track open for Legzy who is approaching.
It's normally better to only rejoin the track when there is no traffic coming, but this rejoin didn't seem to be a threat to anybody.
It's also the responsibility of the other drivers to approach an incident or off with care, better safe than sorrow.

It's going to be frustratingly difficult for me to make this race, as I'm down in Pompey for the weekend. I hope I'll be back for 8pm, but no guarantees....

I was going to go with the Viper, but after seeing the track selection I don't it will be much fun round some of the tight and twisty tracks, so I'm jumping on the svr now to decide. Most likely the Lister.

"weather-fixed for the full event"

I interpret that to mean it will be wet/dry, i.e. persistant, all through quali and race. Is that right? If so, I'll be there.

Realise I'm in the minority here but what the heck, I'd much rather race with consistent weather. Changeable weather just introduces too many possibilities that I haven't got time to practice for and far more than my brain can handle. I spose I'll have to wait for summer and just race in these events until then Smiley

That was a cut and paste-ism, now corrected. Sorry.

Gizmo is there any chance of including the 911RSR in GT2?  Since we know it's already performance balanced against the 360GTC, if it's included it could be without any tweaking.
(The 360 appears in both GTC and GT2) The 911RSR only appears in GTC despite a request during the pre season testing.

Seems to have a bizarre left to right swaying motion Spanner, which seems to be heavily exaggerated in the wet, I think you were having similar issues when I looked at the rear of your car down the main straight at Spa at the last race. I find that it just takes the enjoyment out of driving the Porka, (took the 911 RSR out for a spin very recently which gave me a wake up call as to why driving that car was so good, will be switching to to the 911 in GTC) I am sure others may be able to live with it better ie MJ or yourself. Plus the 911RSR comes with a far superior interior cockpit (rendering and looks).

I'll admit its not good, hardly realistic but nothing seemed to come out of the test races. Suppose with all the 'realistic weather' its going to be mostly wet and cold anyway which doesnt suit it. A few people seemed to think they solved it, not sure how. Though isn't it on GT tyres rather than NGT ones? Those first few laps were a nightmare, low pressures low grip just exaggerated it.

It's too late now - the classes are fixed in the physics pack, they can't be changed on the fly, only by releasing a new pack.

(The 360 appears in both GTC and GT2) The 911RSR only appears in GTC despite a request during the pre season testing.

There are two 360s - one in each class. The 996 GT3-RS is in GTC, the RSR went into G2 because after the initial concern over the 997's wandering habits, everyone seemed happy that it was really just down to setup, and that the RSR had the same behaviour (just less pronounced).

Ok Gizmo, hope you won't mind if I send you a gentle reminder for possible inclusion when you have the mid season evaluation of the SROU Physics Pack and performance. Smiley
