Yeah I got caught up in your warping at Spa, (wasn't going to mention it as I put it down as just one of those things that could happen to anyone, but as you're asking) both me & the car between us went off the track taking evasive action to avoid you fairly early in the race. So I saw what that was like.
By comparison, when we were at Monaco your warping was minimal/occasional from what I remember.

Cancellation of some racing elsewhere meant I could do some practice tonight - struggled with the Jag and thought it was a bad way to relearn a track, bouncing off barriers, so tried the Elite.  Got down to 56.2.  I bunged the setup online in the Monaco79 folder as SHElite, it seemed good to me!

Really struggled at the weekend to get close to learning Mid ohio so its a bit of a relief to get back into the racing rhythm, praise be to nice slow cars that are pretty easy to catch and correct.  Smiley  Certainly pleasing when you start to get the drifts nicely through the ridiculously tight corners.

Steve, you are quick with Elite, but it doesn´t seem to like my command. 1:59. and trying to lose the rear end, I can´t drive the corners drifting so will most probably stick to Abarth.

The bandwidth thief causing my warping has been identified, and an armistice has been agreed for race times.

I'm expecting a new PC and if I can set it on time I'll join for a spin. I'm only 4 seconds per lap slower than Steve so it should be one of the better days for me.  Grin

just did a few laps to look see...

1:58.0 in the Elite, though several times i was -1.0 at first sector only to blow it later on, so got a 57.0 in me.
1:59.5 in the Jag Mk2.  Morse does Monaco  Grin ..its like driving a bleedin' bus  laugh
1:58.2 in the Abarth with a mid 57 possible.

Wow, nice!

I just tried offline (while my internet is busy) and I couldn't get within a second of my previous nights times, either I'm rubbish tonight or hopefully its the offline effect.  Wink

Grr you pesky Lotussessss! Taking up all my braking and turn-in room on the track! The Jag is so bad I need all the track to turn Wink
Got caught out with Legzy diving to the inside, then i think you seem to lose it which I couldnt miss and spun around. No choice but to quit out as it was in a nightmare position.

Hadnt touched GTL since the last round of L6 at Le mans and was good to get back on it.
Got passed SBG at the end of the first lap i think and was following Matt then clipped the barrier and spun ,Steve just about missed me and i had to slowly reverse and ended up ninth.
Had some great battles chasing back up the order then went to pressed my tab key and hit Esc.. DOH!!

grats to podium.

Cheers

I was gutted. We'd already traded positions four times in the previous lap, me under breaking & in the corners, you on the straights. I was hoping it would last the distance. I actually wasn't trying to take you on the inside on this occasion... which is a shame because if I had I wouldn't have knocked your back-end as you were on the turn... which just swung your car round like it was a hand on a watch.  Then we were nose to nose & I stayed off the power so you could spin round which you started... but then I couldn't see you & I sat there waiting for you to come past.... about 5 cars later I realised you must have Esc'd back to the pits & so I set off again. Sorry. Gutted.

Karma was served nine laps later. I no longer had a big bus  Wink holding me up where my Lotus was quick & my times came right down, overtook a good few people, made a few mistakes where I'd nudge a barrier here & there but was enjoying it. Set a PB on lap nine. Was flying on lap ten but had to avoid a crashing Tibs so lost a bit. Was again flying on lap eleven & was ahead on time when W/Tony was parked in the middle of the track right after the fast chicane (after the tunnel) & sadly I had nowhere to go. The combination of contact with Tony then the wall was the end of my suspension/race. Gutted again. :'(

Loved racing on this track & with the slowest/easiest cars like tonight, I think it really works.  Cool

Role on the new season, see you all in the U.S. of A.

Note - No worries Tony, can/does happen to any of us.

So sorry for that Legzy. I had just had a massive a over t type accident and was left pointing the wrong way. Saw you approaching FAST and didn't know whether to move or stay. I stayed. Wrong choice. But amazingly I was able to continue and crawled home last.
This circuit was just too good for me and after 19 laps and a head cold I feel it.
Well done Dynosaur, great result matey.
Roll on next week.

Big fun.
A smattering of "what if" what if I hadn't been tapped into a spin, what if I'd taken more coast diff and spun myself less
:-0 But great fun dicing mostly with MJ and then Ade who nipped by as I mde one of many errors
Don't remember hitting anyone, good times were had.
Ta arrangers, top choice.

Results, done much quicker when I get a result Wink, and replay in normal spot.

Must say standards were far better than last week, rust well and truly shaken off, and those getting lapped, including outlaps in quali, behaved impeccably. Really looking forward to start of S7 now Smiley

That was a fantastic race last night. I would rate it amongst the top 5 GTL races ive ever had for pure racing action and effort required !  Shocked

There literally was no respite for the entire 40 minutes and i finished shattered and soaked in sweat ! Great fun.  Cool

Qualied in 6th despite a mid 57 qual time  Shocked and got jumped at the start by at least 3 of those pesky Abarths which seemed to have way more grunt off the line and up the hill, relegating me very quickly to 9th  Sad
Then it was pure action all the way as i enjoyed countless battles with the top 4-8 swapping places constantly. Three notably excellent battles were with Matt Rowe, Ade and Steve  Great driving by all in the tricky conditions with hardly any contact considering the close quarters barriers and fighting  euro  I did hit Matt once but that was when he bounced off the barrier and went sideways in front of me and i had no way of stopping in time, so apologies for that one. angel
Me and Steve were literally side by side in some of the tight corner complexes  Shocked but i lost out to his grunt up the hill and through the tunnel each time...i assume he used the lowest final drive ratio ? as mine was sluggish at those two places.

The top 5 pace was amazing throughout. Cool Finished 5th  Smiley

The elites and Abarths steaming through the harbour front looked great ....but before you think ive been converted back to GTL, you should try the Abarths in P&G ...awesome!  tt1
