Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 710s

Jose tries an overambitious overtaking manoeuvre midway through Opel and collects Evert. Evert almost loses control and can barely hold on, still he loses the place.
Corner later he regains the position but gets hit again, this time without too much consequences.

Because the first incident was clearly wrong and could have gone worst, it deserves a penalty of 1 place. Not the full penalty, as the place it regained, but due to another similar incident right after, it still gets a penalty, as overtaking must be done more carefully.

Server replay time: 5016s

First two timestamps, Jose steers into the car on his inside. Leave more space when there is a car in the middle. Happened a bit too often so this will be the last warning from me regarding these incidents.

However, what happens at 5080 will not go unpunished, Jose tries to overtake Jan with no overlap nor room, pushing Jan wide and claiming his place. 2 Places lost for this, as 1 place lost will only put him back to where he was before the incident which won't make it a penalty.

Napo was quite a bit faster than Jose and was entitled to unlap himself. The reason why Jose went wide was because of the addressed incident above. After that, the other lapping traffic was never close enough to lap Napo. The lapped traffic is not forced to slow down or come to a stop, it's up to the lapping traffic to make it a safe overtaking. Flashing headlights should be used to make sure people are being lapped, not a way to force people out of the way.

Forget about getting tyrewear down at this track, it will be too compromising to be worth it, just have a nice setup and enjoy the race Grin

I would like to participate in this race if I'm allowed. I uninstalled the ukgtr 2.8.9.1 with the uninstaller and installed 2.9.1.0. It was a clean GTR2 install before ukgtr 2.8.9.1 was installed. Hope this is ok.

Should be fine Napo but if you get the chance during the day check the connection to the server if you've not already done so.

I think the exact translation is "high tyre wear? so what? I can still be faster than you lot with tyre wear at 35" Cheesy

Well, first race wasn't too succesful. Unfortunately I forgot to check the weather conditions at the start of the race and ended up starting on the wrong tyres. Which of course led me to be more over the place than usual! Classic schoolboy error I guess. Sorry if I got in anyone's way. I hope my next race goes a bit better.

I just didn't have the motivation tonight. I don't like the track, I had nearly no time to practice and I had horrible fps in the opening laps. After two huge spins I retired, hope you all had good fun Smiley

Hmm, started on right tyres for the weather for 3 laps and then they were the wrong tyres. Changed to the right tyres when I couldn't keep the car on the track on slicks anymore and then they were the wrong tyres after the rain then stopped again about 3 laps later. Then changed to the right tyres when the track was drying quickly, but they only lasted half the time left in the race so could barely get the car to turn in for the last 20 minutes. Grin Basically wrong wrong wrong, but it's luck when the weather changes like that so we're all in the same position. Smiley

Was an interesting race, but I was pretty bored for the last 30-40 minutes. sleep1 When Jonzo came back after his offs, there was no point in fighting it as he was miles quicker and that was about the only excitement of the second half. First half was mildly amusing especially after I only just made it to the server and got one lap in with whatever my setup was from Zhuhai after getting home from a Sunday out. Not great as it topped out in 6th, so I adjusted that for the race and then lo and behold the rain came and I already had no idea how the car felt in the dry from one lap on a setup for a different track. LOL.

Anyway, I've never seen so many pitstops from everybody and well done Jon, Gazza and Roadrunner on the podium. Good points for Team Shark that. Smiley

Fuel. Hmmmm. Made it to the last corner though  Cheesy

Certainly more fun than my last outing though and a good finish was in prospect with the Prof/Legzy/DG combo, but their pace turned out to be too much, after which I realised that I wasn't going to make it unless I conserved fuel. However it wasn't enough and I finally came to a halt on the final right hander having lost another place to Blunder.

Grats to podiums  Smiley

Phew  drool

Managed to finally hook up a late lap in qualy, then saw it was a wet race, but damp but whereas i would have normally gone straight to wets or inters i decided to stay on med rear and soft fronts as the last few times they seem quite manageable after a while. Sorry about the pace lap I just wasnt paying attention and was watching MJ behind without noticing Blunders 430 was looming rather quickly. Thanks for letting me back past guys though i knew i had to stay where i landed, couldnt have done it without you MJ Wink
After a few laps the car (and me) was settling down a bit even though it seemed to be raining quite hard. MJ and Blunder seemed to come together ahead and for some reason i was more interested in watching them than myself so ended up going straight on and dropping down to arond twentieth ninja but with everyone pitting preseumably for wets i got catapulted up the order, managing to final reach the heights of first! LMAO Thought you were shadowing me MJ but you seem to drop down the order.I was able to hold a steady gap back to second but then seem to get caught up in faster battles down the order with Jose coming past and then Napo and Lazlow. Really sorry Napo if i caused you to go off.

With the gap back around 30secs and the tyres turning to jelly I pitted with about 30mins left changing the fronts only coming out behind 3rd but i was able to hold a comfortable gap back to H@L in 5th with a few dodgy lapses but managed to keep going crossing the lin with barely a litre of fuel left!

I clearly wasnt that fast but managed to just keep it on the track and have the minimum of pitstops! Really sorry if i tripped people up, still not entirely confident lapping people Smiley

Was confident of a good result as I had an old RSR setup that fitted the 997 perfectly but when the race started damp and also raining abit I didn't know what to do. In the end I went for meds and this looked like a good choice for 5 laps but then he rain got heavier and the times started to slip so I decided to pit in for some wets. When I came out I was 40s down and after a couple of laps the rain stopped, my rears were hitting 150*C so I stopped again and filled the tank up took soft/meds. There was an hour to go and I was hoping it would stay fairly damp to keep those soft fronts from overheating/wearing too much. After spinning on the way into the pits I headed out over a lap behind the leaders. I just kept things steady after the pits but was gaining about 3-4s a lap on those still on wets at the front. I was lucky here because if the leaders had stopped earlier for slicks I'd have had no chance. In the end I was about 8-9s behind Gazzer after he'd pitted and I was closing slowly on him, by now my soft fronts were already worn quite bad but I was still able to gain on him. I managed to get past and in the overtake Gazzer got on the wet part of the corner, gave it too much gas and spun which was also very lucky for me because I'm sure if he'd been just behind me on the last 5-6laps I wouldn't have been able to stop him passing. He got the gap down from 6s to 2.5s at the end but I was struggling with 39.85 tyre wear. At one point near the end MJ and Shark were battling for postion and MJ let me past but I just didn't have the tyres to get a gap to him and was understeering all over the shop. Don't worry MJ I wasn't trying to hold you up for Sharky. The worse my fronts got the more I had to put the brake bias toward the rear to give me a bit more turn in around the corners. Felt knackered after this race but it was a great one. Nice racing all Cool Well Done to Gazzer and Roadrunner on the Podium Cool
