Hard race but good fun. Started on soft slicks but had to pit when the sky darkened and I started losing all tyre temperature. Hard wets lasted until about 55m to go but I needed to get to past 50m to go to be sure the fuel would last so I stayed out, cooled the tyres where I could and kept going. At 48m to go I pitted for medium slicks which lasted okay until the end, although the Aston remains a difficult car when the tyre balance is off and I had a few tough laps were the fronts passed wear 10 on GTR2XD, until the rears did likewise. Wasn't quite quick enough to defend from the marauding Z4s, but had some fun trying. Ted's Viper was another story - almost running into the back of him in the corners and then getting left for dead down the straights. JonB 1970 has been entered as a guest driver until I can identify his forum name.
No he hasn't. I asked in chat just before the race and fixed the mapping.

Hard race again Was glad to get 5th. I was passed by many cars on the first few laps but as the rain got heavier, my tyre choice paid off and I manged to get up to 2nd before my pit stop. I had fun trying to fend off the other drivers in the first few laps. I did however get contact with Busi and Jan (I think it was) at separate times, I am not sure if they were my fault. I thought that I had left enough room but the Viper has a rather large rear end. Sorry if it was my fault. I will check the replay. I manged to stop only once, so I was very lucky with the tyres

Tough race that.
Really didnt know what tyres to go for and normally would of gone for dry tyres when it says damp but for some reason i went for hard wets which was really lucky as i was getting gobbled up in the first few laps untill it started to rain (thank god) and the tyres came good for a while. Then it cleared up and in hind sight i left it a little to late to come in and change to mediums, i also put in way to much fuel.
Came out 9 seconds infront of jon but he was closing. I didnt drive my second stint very well at all and eventually he got past and as he did i cought some curb and had half a spin. This let him get away butthen he was having tyre issues and i got within 2 seconds of him but couldnt quite catch.
Looking back i probably should of won this if i hadnt of pitted a little late and not overfueled but i take my hat off and bow to you Jon for stopping twice and winning, incredible. Also to Roadrunner for stopping twice and only 15 secs behind me.
Grats to everyone for a difficult race.
Well done H@l for 5th
Nice one spanner to.

Very difficult race! I made a decent qual lap but I felt could have gone a little faster but there was lots of traffic in qual. Like everyone else didn't know what tires to go for. Was on Hal's bumper but I went too close to the outside and went off. That really killed my race but I pulled all the wrong stops and killed my race further. Ended up going softs on my final pitstop. I paid the price in the end when my tires were shot and I spun off track so many times. It was all made worse as my car had horrible stability and was all over the place under braking. You didn't do anything Spanner, I put myself into that barrel roll...surprisingly my car was ok. Sorry to Jose for bumping you wide there in the end of the race, was very difficult for me under braking there near the end. Glad to see you got your position back I used gtr2xd for the 1st time today, it displayed laps instead of countdown. Does anyone know why and how to make it show time left instead? Was disappointing finish but I always had someone to race with so it was fun. Congrats to Jon on the win, you were flying m8! This GTC class seems like a lot of fun, I'll try to make more if possible.

Had a freeze in Q2, ever since installing P&Gv2 this is happening every time. Had to make another fast lap and it was as slow as the first one. Qualified 8th and - as some others - went with slick meds at start. Had to pit after the rain started, took hard wets and put in another 10 litres. If the rain would have been stable to the end - I'd have been done with pitstops (ugh, never know when to use past or present perfect... ). But no, the rain stopped, had to come in for slicks again. Forgot to give order not to add any fuel. They topped it up, of course and I finished with 50 spare litres... I think I lost at least two places here, couldn't safely hold Jose back and couldn't pass Jan. If I didn't add fuel I'd be 20 sec in front with my pace a bit faster. Sometimes I miss rFactor pit system: I had all the time in the world on that big straight, I could have set my pitstop then and have no worries at the stop. I must say I like the new weather system, even if I had a crappy pitstop. Grats to podium and to Spanner for 4th. TT

Glad to see you got your position back : Glad you enjoyed it so much, but realize you were racing position 6/7/8 on the last 3 laps, beiing one lap down( pos.14!!) you should not do that. Result: Jose bumped off by you!!(who was sixth),Jose angry and bumping me off at the last corner .( me not happy) Congrats to podium, Jan

That was an eventful race to say the least ! Qually was a disaster, had an off on one flying lap, then got a CTD and had to restart my pc. Got back in with just about enough time to do 3 laps on the fly. On my last lap i was 0.6 up on my time with one corner to go when Jose decided to rejoin the track in front of me and rather than do the honourable thing and move out the way, he decided to stay on the racing line all the way around the final turn, blocking me and totally ruin my lap. That cost me 5 places on the grid and i was seriously un-impressed. Race was a real mish mash. Started on meds all round, picked up some places early on. Came flying around one of the banked turns whilst 10th only to find Blunders? F430 spinning backwards across the track and hit it hard, taking me off into the gravel. Dropped to 19th ? :'( Then it rained hard and got slippery, fell off once or twice losing time once grip went completely. But as i contemplated pitting (and cancelled my request 3 times) for wets, i could see my laptimes were within a couple of secs of what i could do on wets so stuck with it and followed spanner upto the giddy heights of 2nd place Thought i had cracked it and was on for a good pody as everyone behind me was miles back and pitting for wets. My joy lasted a handful of laps when i had an attention malfunction and threw the car off no less than 3 times in two laps on my now very worn original tyres. I completely threw away my big time advantage and got caught by 3 other cars. Pitted soon after and droppped to 10th after repairs from early collision with the F430. Re caught Simon to grab 9th, despite Jons best efforts to throw himself off when i kept letting him by to lap but forlornly chased TT and top 7 ahead for final 10 un-eventful minutes. Disapointing result as had the pace (3rd fastest race lap) and running in top 3 but threw it away with my offs. Congrats to Jon on his win and the podium finishers. Well done to Spanner too.

Who said two wrongs don't make a right? I got it all so wrong last night it finally came good Had problems in qually getting a clear lap due to it being a short circuit. But I also suffered from some people just totally haddocking up a lap in front of me, but insisting on remaining planted in the middle of the track & moving across on occasion to block me from overtaking when I was on good flying laps Started 18th on the grid with mediums, seeing the damp start but wasn't expecting any additional rain. That was fine as I took it steady & made up a few positions as people went off or pitted. But when it started raining, I should have listened to my team mates & come in to change to intermediates sooner. By the time I came in & out I had gone from an obviously false 6th, right back to 19th (3rd last). With a full tank now, intermediate tyres were working well at first, but they were suffering badly once the track started drying & the car was getting more & more understeery. Both team mates again pitted while I stayed out for too long again! This time when I got round to pitting I sank from 9th back to 18th! But that late pit meant that coming back out on mediums, they'd be in peak condition to the end. That's exactly how it played out from there & I overtook six positions in the last 15 laps & was rewarded with a 13th place finish for all my efforts Most enjoyable race & you've just got to laugh when the weather mucks you about like that! Congrats podium. Also congrats to spanner, you flew past me when you were race leader mate, top effort p.s. Just noticed that the stats registered 30(!!!???) overtakes by me, I must be better then I thought

Cheers God, i'm going to make a real hash of the next one! Just thinking, It feels to me that the porka is too easy on its fuel. Both magny cour and here 80 mins is easy on a full tank. How does this sit with the other cars? I thought we were trying to effectively enforce the need to stop?

Had a look at the replay. Sorry Jose and very sorry Busi and Blunder I tapped Busi and Blunder when trying to hold the inside line but the Viper rear end was swinging out a bit as I put the power down. This resulted in taps that sent Busi and Blunder off the track. Feel free to put in incident reports guys, no hard feelings That Viper is Solid!

110-115 litres required by me for both those races in the Z4 Spanner. I thought we were trying to effectively enforce the need to stop?
They do, by having a rule that says 'everyone has to stop at least once'
