Chance of snow again??? is anybody messing around with the weather? lol

After a quick go I'm on mid 48's, lap records should be beaten if the race is dry

After the sublime handling of the GTC version, its back to the heavy engineering of the RSR Huh. Race pace for me is around a 1.52 but the front tyres are stone cold, front left barely gets above 50deg.

A rubbishy Radical race earlier and then after an hour of practice and qually my codding net connection goes mammaries up and I can't join the grid except on my roof.

Piffle.

ps. The only thing worse than having your qually lap ruined by someone driving up your chuff is when you make a mistake as a result, so let them by, only to have them cod the final chicane up and ruin your next lap too. Angry

Got back from holiday just in time for this, Qualified surprisingly well in my Porka BiTurbo considering no practice. My internet provider Virgin Media sent me out a new hub stating this was the cause of my recent woes because the original was too old...expecting no issues with this new box in place, quali was a bit juddery plus a black screen on the connection front, got back into quali and then just when me and my car were all fired up on the grid red lights/green lights my screen went black and I had to re boot my computer taz taz taz taz taz taz taz taz taz taz taz

back to the internet provider I guess unless anyone else has any other suggestions?

Great race Truetom. That felt almost like one of our old classics then towards the end of that race. Occasionally broken up with difficulty getting past lappees, but all good fun and was always close but safe racing with you as per normal. Finishing third is a total shock. Smiley

I was really surprised I was so far up the grid as the car didn't feel that great and I ended up making even more changes to the setup before the race with no testing. Needed better turn in and so on so was stiffening the rear etc. Tyre wear was so low I ran soft soft slicks without a problem. Even when the air temperature was 30 degrees my rear tyres were the only ones getting into the green (just). I completely guessed the fuel this race cause I didn't get my calculator out in time (was peeing in the 2 minute countdown), bunged in 60 litres and finished with 1.7 left and that was after being fairly careful with fuel consumption during the race when I realised it looked pretty tight on fuel.

Well done Gazza and Busi at the front, you were miles ahead at the end, awesome pace.

Cracking race Gazza, well deserved win Wink

It looked as if we were in a couple of rockets (don't think we had car advantage though...) and we qualified 1st and 2nd both in the Panoz, disappearing after two race laps. I was trying to keep the pressure for the whole race but he never made a mistake. I was only faster through Acque Mineralli and I always got close arriving at the Variante Alta but you can't outbrake there too little braking zone, so I had to back off and he was much faster through that chicane so I couldn't try any overtake.

Well done mate, specially keeping it all together when you found 3 backmarkers fighting and I think you had to be careful there. I could close again but couldn't try the move Smiley nice stuff

A good result for me.

I qualified 7th and lost a place to Roadrunner on the warm up lap for reasons that still puzzle me.  Grin

I had good battles with Mark Jonzo and Carl Hart both of whom were faster than me especially in the area around the high chicane (I can never work out how to go quick there.) Mark got through as eventually did Carl after many laps close behind only to give me the place back when he made a mistake a lap or two later. I hung on desperately at the end which got really interesting as we caught Tibs on the very last lap.

Apologies to JohnB1970 for the tap when trying to lap you. I mis-read your intentions and tried to pass you off the racing line just as you moved over to make space. I am not used to lapping people but have much more experience being lapped. Sorry if I spoiled your race.

Thanks Busi, great racing.

Im guessing you didnt get a proper qually lap in so was lucky there as i think if you had been infront of me i wouldnt of been able to stay with you.

I was a little quicker at either end of the lap but you were alot quicker than me in the middle part of the track and everytime we came up to Acque Mineralli i knew you would be right on my bumper. Like you say it would of been very risky for you to try a pass at that chicane. With about 10 mins to go i think you made an error and i had a gap but came up to two slower cars having their own battle and they werent gunna make it easy for me to get through and i followed them through the last chicane but he got crossed up and came right across the track and hit me but lucky i managed to keep straight but this let Busi right on my tail again  Embarrassed

Just tried to not make any mistakes and held on to the win  Smiley

Grats simon for 3rd.

p.s the funniest thing was seeing Busi getting sideways and crossed up on nearly every corner which i thought would give me a gap but you held it everytime and come the next corner you were right there again!! lol

That was a tough old race.

Qually was yet another disaster, 2 'connection losts'  Huh and twice i was severely blocked on a flying lap by people slowing down right in the middle of the first fast chicane  Huh ..what the hell ? I can only assume i was invisible to you both from my discos otherwise it was pretty poor driving.  Angry Finally got a semi decent lap in with only few mins remaining to grab 9th.

My lower than hoped qually slot had me behind Profs beemer and unfortunately it sealed my doom for the rest of the race. Not to take anything away from Prof as we enjoyed a very close battle for about the first 10mins, but i had to keep braking so hard behind him to avoid rear ending, when he braked way earlier than me, that i ended up dislodging my pedals off the race frame  Shocked
I got by him eventually when he ran wide on one corner and set about chasing the top 7 who by now had a 7 sec advantage down the road  Sad
Unfortunately my wayward pedals continued to slide further away and at an angle of almost 40 degrees making life really difficult in the last 15-20 mins, meaning i was condemned to a solo race of 'hotlapping with errors'  Tongue with no way of catching the front group and only falling back to Prof when i had a shaky corner.

Finished a lacklustre 6th, which wasnt too bad a result considering my predicament.  Smiley

That would explain my nosebleed being so far up the grid in such august company. I know my place really!!  laugh
