I'm not sure of the working of the trial but the Radical can't be raced by rookies.
I guess the Radical will end up an offline trial only.
Correct

I think the point of the trial is partially to recreate the "Radical at Silverstone experience" (where I believe Radical do their test days for prospective customers) as well as to give iRacing a punt.
I doubt you can race the Radical in iRacing until you reach the appropriate license level, which you can't do in 4 weeks so you could only drive it in 'test' mode on your own.
You'd have to stick to the Solstice (Laguna Seca and Lime Rock Park) and Legends (Lanier and South Boston) at ifyou want to race online which is the rookie package you'd get if you signed up for a month.
It's free though so what's not to like!

I was tempted to try the Radical towards the end of my iR adventure, the cost prevented me, so it would have been nice to have tried it for free now O well, my views of iR aren't gonna be altered by decisions like that.

I guess you'll be able to run the Solstice (road) and Legends (oval) both online and offline. And even advance to the Advanced versions of these with more BHP. And all the initial tracks. The initial tracks/cars should get you through rookie series. And you may even advance to class D before the trial is over, as the Rookies advance every 2 weeks I think. A bit strange though, that the Radical in the trial is an oval car. Normally at iRacing, the Radical is a road car.

I signed up, but no e-mail with my iRacing trial info Maybe because I live in Canada? A friend just signed up. She immediately got a confirmation e-mail from the radical team. Then about 24 hours later she got the iRacing details.

maybe one of my commonwealth brethren can sign up with a fake name for me? Yeah, they probably know about you allready I can't say why you don't get a reply, maybe you've done something wrong. I hope you're talking about this radical offer. Give it another try then, you should get a confirmation mail first maybe even within the hour. If you don't even get that, then your submission didn't reach the radical team, or you've used a false e-mail adress. You could try using a different e-mail adress.
