Think this works. The faulty grid has stalls in front of the front of the grid.
I've set the server to use this starting grid...

Ideally it would be a mandatory yes or no, but we are in limbo in that it's been released post race announcement and clearly a lot of people have it. All I can say is use it if you have it/want to, those that don't will be at a disadvantage. I don't want to pre-empt anything but prior to the Season 'proper' I believe there will be clarification.

Having just done an AI race (hopelessly inadequate that they are), I can safely heed Vosblod's suggestion and call on everybody racing tonight "if you haven't got the new 65 mod patch installed, do so otherwise you will lose out". It's at power circuits like this, Monza, Rouen etc with the long straights and lengthy sections full-throttle that you need the extra oomph up the hill in drafting. I gained a few MPH on the run up the hill on full tanks.

That was good fun! Shame I didn't win it, I was so so close to Hristo before outbraking myself in 2 consecutive corners. Qualifying was a little frustrating, couldn't put a clean clear lap together, then I went out at the end with about 2 minutes to spare, started the hotlap with about 10 seconds left on the clock, and banzai'd it around like Senna would, and it came up 1st! Dead chuffed. Race started a bit hedgy, had natan breathing alongside me then not alongside me in T1, and I just tried increasing the lead from there, until about lap 8 or 9 when I started doing 52s instead of 51s and that closed the gap between me and Rob behind. Then we touched at T2 on lap 13. Haven't yet checked the replay, but I thought I gave more than enough room for both to make the corner, however I was not going to run wide on the verge because that would have spun me around. I then realised Hristo was coming up on the outside on the grass, so (reluctantly) let him through, and set about chasing him down to try and pass him. It didn't happen, and he deservedly took the win. I set my PB during the race though, so dead chuffed with that.

That was a brilliant race - the new patch really has resparkled my interest in the 65s. The Österreichring really was a fabulous race track to drive on and the racing made it all the more special . Why they butchered the track into the A1 ring i'll never know. Quali went ok, managing 7th on the grid. Everyone seemed to get a good start off the grid so the positions remained the same into the first corner. I then suffered a massive FPS drop just before the Boschkurve (which obviously caused my spin ) and I lost the back end into the barrier. Only a couple places lost, so not too much harm done. A couple laps later it seemed Hristo, Clive & John had a coming together with me and Clive getting very close together when he rejoined the track. Suprised we didn't hit each other; the new crash-boxes working a treat no doubt. I then procceded to catch Nicky and Clive was catching me which resulted in a great battle for a few laps. I managed to lead the trio and began to pull away for a short while and the next few laps were relatively quiet, maybe overtaking the odd backmarker here and there. With 2 laps to go, Clive was again driving right under my gearbox and we had a nice little battle on the last lap. Clive was faster through the second-half of the lap but thanks to my wide BRM, I held onto 5th. A good result I thought; see you all in Season 17 .

Grid Two produced my first ever UKGPL win Bill came second and there was no one to come third To pursue my winning streak there will be another fun race but I won't be releasing the date, venue or password Seriously though, glad to hear in chat feedback that (on the whole) the server held up...

What a race! I might've managed better than 4th in qualifying as my last lap was going really well but caught up with a slower car and that was it. I had a good start, but the lack of power allowed the cars behind to be all over my back even though I stood in the slipstream of the car ahead on the inside. Managed to hold my position though and even went up to 3rd and then to 2nd with just Jethro up ahead, but by that time he had managed to open up a small gap. Paul was very fast behind though and using my slipstream was full in my mirrors and in effort to try and escape him I entered a tad too fast in the first long lefthander and spun around as I lifted up. A few cars avoided me but eventually there was a collision with someone but luckily nothing major so we all continued, though quite low down the filed, 8th or so. From there on I had nothing to lose so just took as many risks as I could to catch back up and was slowly regaining the lost positions. Once I got up to 5th place things settled for many laps as the car ahead had a good pace and it took awhile to catch it. As soon as that happened though it went off and now I had Paul to deal with while Jethro and Rob could be seen further ahead battling each other. The battle with Paul was fierce but eventually he ran wide going into T2 so I opted for the inside but as I got alongside him there was contact and he went off. I thought that's as far as I can go considering there were only 4 laps remaining but unbelievably Jethro and Rob collided and I went through just as they were recovering. Jethro soon closed up behind and the task of keeping 1st for 3 laps was seeming nearly impossible, but I just kept taking risks and hoped for the best. Jethro kept closing more and more and was just beginning to use my slipstream when he went wide and that was enough to lose him the momentum, so victory was mine.

Suppose I should be happy with 7th really - I'd just got back from a Karting trip in Wales and was totally knackered, also I'd completely forgotten about this and therefore was late (7 minutes to go when I joined ) Qualifying was spent trying to get a setup sorted out (hence the time ) Started 19th, gained about 4-5 places in the first few corners then got collected by an accident ahead. Pulled myself out of the barriers and carried on, eventually caught JR and had a bit of a scrap with him before putting a back wheel on the grass and spinning. Caught him again when he was trying to pass Nicky, followed for about a lap while he passed Nicky before starting to make my own move. Nicky pulled into me (mustn't have seen me as I know he wouldnt do that on purpose) sending me into the barriers and span again. I spent several laps chasing the two of them before they contacted in T1 and I passed both of them. From there on in it was just a case of trying to stay awake and on the track Looking forward to trying Spa with the new patch

Think this works. The faulty grid has stalls in front of the front of the grid. Clive, I heard a rumour that the lap count was still off last night and some of the grid could hardly see the starter. Any suggestions?
