Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1050s

Double contact between Jose and TrueTom.

Truetom runs wide in a hesitant fashion and Jose takes the opportunity to go down the inside. As the exit of the corner is the entrance to another, both cars touch trying to take the line and again as no one surrenders the consecutive corner. Jose runs off as a consequence and rejoins behind Truetom.

As the overtaking car Jose is responsible for keeping it clean and avoiding contact. Warning issued.

Server replay time: 1944s

Lazlow follows JPS through T2-T6 looking to lap him and contact is made with JPS retiring.

More patience needs to be exercised by Lazlow in this instance, JPS did run a little wide but no obvious gap appeared. Lazlow accepts responsibility and therefore is demoted one position and not two.

  • lazlow (Lazlow)penalty — Rear end contact when lapping — 1 place lost

Will you be treating us by slipping in any Super-Enduro 130min races this season Dave? (or even 100mins, to throw people out the comfort zone  Evil)

I'm afraid not, attendance last season didn't really justify it. We'll try and do a special or two at some point though.

Roll on LeMans SE Grin

Dubai in the dusk is going to be nice. It was cool to see the flood lighting coming on at Imola. One of those nice touches in GTR2 that some people will never see without taking advantage of all the game has to offer. People that dont race with changeable weather or at different times of day are missing out. GTR2 is just a slightly different version of rFactor without using the night/day and weather systems IMO.

Can we expect a temperature drop in Dubai at 18.00hrs? Or is it still rather hot there at that time of day?

Race was going well in my GT2 Porka Bi Turbo until a GT1 Driver decided he wasn't going to wait for me to clear the fast 2nd/3rd Gear right hander (before the immediate right hand hairpin) to lap me and instead shunted me up the rear...launched into the barriers some 30m away...car beyond repair...race over...valuable points lost :'(

Wow Shocked

Intense battle with TT and Jose that lasted for the entire race Cheesy

Many changes of position and similar pit times. Gazza jumped us three in the pits and was home free after that due to not being involved in our battle. Grin

Well done Gazza TT and GT2 podiums.

I need to see the replay. That is possibly the best race I have ever been involved in Grin

The change to night made it all the more of a challenge. Truly incredable. Smiley

I never get on with this place and it was no different today. I had a lonely time scooting around at the back admiring the graphics at a decent frame rate for once as it got dark and hoping someone would fall off and give me the least deserved GT2 podium of all time.

Well done to all the fast people this evening, podiums etc..

Hurrah !...Race win in GT2 class for me to make it a double at Dubai this week  thumbup1

Jumped in late with 10mins of qual left but took 3 successive runs to get past Legzy who kept improving his time each time i went quicker, and grabbed pole with last gasp effort.  Smiley

As for the race, all i can say is thank gawd it was a dusk setting to give me something to admire throughout the race as didnt see anything in the way of race action or other cars really.  Sad
Led from flag to finish, with Legzy giving me a bit of a scare at mid race length when he must have given his old boys in the pit some viagra to get him back out in front of me! Grin...i'd stopped with a 17 second lead but he came out about 10secs or so in front !  Shocked
I caught him up again fairly swiftly and got by a bit too easily, can only assume he was on shot tyres ? Last 20mins were a bit boring.

Really poor turnout tonight, if this is a sign of things to come it doesnt look great. Only 6 GT2 cars  Sad though the GT1 boys looked like they were having fun at least. Where was everyone? I couldnt even get in due to a full grid only about 2-3 weeks ago  Huh

I managed to set a UKGTR GT2 lap record in Qually, just pipping MJ's time from Tuesday night  Grin  Then with about a minute of Qually left, MJ crushed my time by an extra four hundredths of a sec  taz Wink

I knew from Tuesday that MJ would be quicker but I seemed to recall he took hard slicks for the Tuesday race, so figured he'd do the same but have to change tyres too in his Porka. I figured that if I just did my normal 4 tyres & fuel stop, he'd win so I'll gamble. Taking hards on the front & mediums on the back & just take on a bit of fuel at my stop. Thinking I just had to be fast but sensible & I'd get a big jump from the stops  Cool Race was going to plan, MJ was creeping away each lap, but I had managed to build up an even bigger cushion to the guys behind.

Midway he pitted about 17secs ahead, I pitted the next lap & came out only 8secs ahead of him Shocked Shocked Shocked I was hoping for a 20+sec cushion at least! Did you only change one set of tyres MJ? I knew the gap wasn't big enough & in fairness, you got past me with ease & just flew away the entire rest of the race as I hemorrhaged time lap after lap with my under-steering car with worn tyres. Well done MJ, I don't think I could have kept with you what ever I did in this one  I Am Not Worthy

Very happy with my 1st ever 2nd place (though as MJ pointed out, it was a lonely race) & a double celebration as teammate Blunder picked up third spot for possibly a 1st ever Team Oldie double podium finish    Look out Legends & Sharks, there seems to be life in the oldie dogs yet  Wink

Well Done all podiums/finishers.
