MJ would appreciate it if we moved start time, for practice, forward to 8 so race will finish around 8.55. Any objections? I know that might cut things close for PR? I'm easy either way.

Please PM MJ with any domestic tips thx Wink

Sad won't be able to take part in this one as I'll be working.

I'll still post some times if that will help though, enjoy the race guys.  :'(

out of interest Ginsters, have you tried the F275s around Hockenheim with both GTL and P&G ? Wondered what your thoughts were on the differences/feel of the two sims with a direct car and track comparison ?

I was looking for a spec race around Hock in GTL and the fezza was most fun for me, so chose it. Equally, tried a number of P & G motors around there and nothing clicked until I tried the 275, could have saved myself some time really Smiley

I'd be interested to hear the views of all after the race and will reserve mine till then. Will just say the "fun factor" was definately there in both sims for this combo so I'm looking forward to both events.

In fact, it is a bit earlier for me. I might be able to join only in qual session.

I hope to beable to join you for this race.  My first impression of the 275 'awesum' me ansom.  If anyone has a setup I'd appreciate it to give me a 'starter for 10'.

Bill, hope you will be at this one - but there again you 'young'uns' often can't cope with to much activity   Roll Eyes   laugh

Just had a really quick go using my valencia setup as a base, got a 1.46 dead, seemed I could go quicker but too tired!   sleep1
Just a query why are you running the national and not the gp version?

As for the differences Mark, the main one is controllable power oversteer, of which the PnG version has in droves! But the GTL version requires a somewhat more controlled approach imo, still fun but with less exuberance!  Grin

Yes, please change it to the GP circuit. Although I won't be there, the national circuit is an abomination because:

a) It gets rid of the only good straight and a decent passing opportunity.
b) the right hander after the hairpin becomes a doddle rather than the 'can I do it flat and then judge the braking for the next left' corner in the GP version.

I can't see how it improves the racing at all.

It would also then be the same track as we're using for the GTL race, would it not be sensible to compare like for like? Undecided

I was using it cause I thought most would like a slight change from GP track used the previous Thursday (though it takes no time to learn), I know I will  :'( Might also keep a smaller field (if we get one) together and its also got the two nice right handers that feel great in the 275. One more vote and we will go with GP version though  Smiley

Can i ask also for the GP layout please?
Personally i really don't like short tracks at all. Reminds me a kart track.  Smiley
