Wasn't this one of the original GTL circuits? There usualy ok for things like cut warnings.
Yeah it is, but the cut track warnings at this GP layout are definitely more severe then both the short & National layouts (having run at all three recently now). I would suggest that any future GTL races involving Hock, should probably be done on the National circuit, where the cuts are more sensible.  Smiley

Just dont seem to be getting to grips with GTL this season.

Tried to avoid Legzy's warped car down the straight but ended up loosing it and spinning it damaging the lights on the first lap. And my lack of running with that level of light showed as i thought i'd try and overtake Tony who was also trying on someone else, without noticing a corner was coming up Roll Eyes which meant a trip across the gravel entering the stadium section meaning i ended up dead last. Then it was a slow progress up the field with a brief tussle with Purdie before he seem to loose it.

Thats your opinion, I would argue they are far too lax and would rather not use it Smiley T1 for example is ridiculous in Nat version and I'm pretty sure you can run massively wide before final turn to get a good exit. I'd rather go for restrictive rather than too lax.

I believe the GTR2 version is looser with the s & g's, especially T1, so it will be interesting to hear feedback then. I'll be the first to moan if I see any naughtiness laugh

Your probably right Ian, I just find that GP T1 particularly hard to navigate at what seems like a reasonable speed without "kissing" the inside curb (which I can't see a problem with). Happy with the strictness on the exit (outside), would just like to be able to touch that inside kerb. Smiley

The only reasonable solutions I can come up with are to just take it a lot slower (& potentially shock people with my braking) or make my cars rear-end setup much looser & learn to drive like you do (Cobra style alien)

I'm with you on this - I prefer not to go over kerbs but when everyone else is (on the National track) and going away from you - join them or fade away.

My problem last night, was trying to avoid a cut warning by running too wide on the exit against getting one for cutting apex.  If you go too fast at T1 it's difficult to avoid one or the other.

You didn't avoid me Tim (check the replay at ~1728) i lost 3 seconds for SBG there,
anyway, thanks for trying to minimize the hit.

Just looked at the replay, yes I did just clip you.

Sorry about that, I thought I had just squeezed past, but obviously not. Must try harder next time.

I agree with Ian, I was quite happy with the cut tracks at T1 & the final turn, it was my own fault for getting it wrong. The only one that really annoyed me was the one I got when ploughing through the gravel trap! Huh
