Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

SamB and Baracus both take the uphill chicane (turn 2/3) by crossing the white line with all four wheels. This is not allowed but in this case doesn't really benefit them.
Still, this should not be done, but because I find a penalty too severe, I'll leave it with a warning.
Even when there is no benefit in crossing the white line with all four wheels, it's not allowed.

Server replay time: 0

Matt Rowe cuts about 3 times a lap for almost the whole race. If it was only at the uphill chicane, he would have gotten away with it, just like Baracus and Sam, however, the cuts at the hairpin and last corner are absolutely not done.
At the hairpin, he was sometimes 2 car widths off track, gaining a big advantage every time.
It also happened at the beginning of the race, when tyrewear is not an issue yet.
So this goes down as blatant and deliberate cutting, resulting in an exclusion.

Server replay time: 881s

Mike Cook outbrakes himself slightly and hits the back of SamB. He keeps control of his car and both can continue. Mike loses a spot due to the lost speed.
Both were able to continue by what seemed unharmed and Mike already lost a place due to this incident, so no further penalties.

  • Mike Cookcaution — Rear end hit
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1076s

Mike Cook runs a bit wide but remains on the curb and keeps the pace up. At corner exit he rejoins as Dan Minton comes around the corner. Both cars touch which results in Mike's spin.
Mike should have waited with the rejoin, as there was plenty of curb and tarmac left for a rejoin.
Maybe Dan could have avoided it, but he was committed to the corner and it's hard to suddenly change course in a FWD when you're on the limit.

Mike was the victim but also to blame, so no further penalties.

O contra. If we stay close, which we should, get ready for some nice slipstreaming action into T1. I'm not a big fan of FWD but the mini is hard to beat for close quarter stuff Smiley
Will hopefully see some of you guys online about 10pm tonight to perfect this 'mini drafting' out, down Dijon's straight. Cool Grin

You'll be well and truly in the Mini groove by then.  thumbup1

Apart from being told that "you really suck at that game Dad" by my 13 year old son last night there seems to be massive leeway on where you can drive on this circuit and not get a cut track warning.  What is the ruling here, is it 2 wheels minimum on the track (between white lines) 2 wheels on rumble strips or down to the drivers conscience?  Certainly the left hander leading to the "loop" section offers a major opportunity to make up time if liberties are taken with no automatic penalty.  Any guidance?

Cheers

Collecting first of weekend vistors from Swindon.
Hey Bill, was just chatting with Blunder. It's probably to late now for you to see this as you might be on the road already, but if you're still coming to Swindon today... we'd pop out of work to have a lunchtime pint/coke with you buddy, if you fancy it? PM me your mobile number if you can squeeze us in  Cheesy

I too would be well up for a 2nd P&G test race after GTL tonight, but I will have to stop by 10:30pm. So an earlier start would be all I could join in with. The Dijon race will finish at 9:20pm, so if we had a 15-20 minute break, then qually at 9:45pm maybe? Followed by 30 min race?

Honestly, i believe we must stuck with the guys in real races do. No tires, everybody can drive through.
If everybody be allowed to cut that corner? (it is more a fast left than a corner to me).
Everyone will be happy, cut or don't cut that fast left it will be as the need for the momentum of race. IMHO.
