sweatdrop Err... Wait, lemme get another beer.  Cheesy
What can I say, EPIC battle Busi, was owerwhelmed and exhausted when it was over.  sweatdrop
Qualified 4th, would be 3rd but couldn't quite get down to my pb, so... Was lucky to see front 3-way battle of H@l, Jose and Busi, they were slowing eachother down, so when they touched... They were all individually (much) quicker but the little mouse slipped through. Grin  Then I was maintaining a gap to Gazza - not that I deliberately held it at 4 seconds, we were just equal. Then I saw Busi closing on Gazza, was hoping they'd have a bit longer battle but it was not to be. Busi came at me with 1 sec per lap faster pace and, like Dave said, I was expecting to blink and be left behind. So I didn't blink.  Cheesy  Was trying to hold the defensive line and leave space for you, Busi. I think I managed 'cause I heard the Lambo more times beside me than I did behind.  Tongue  Watched the replay, very enjoyable to see the alternate lines you took, Busi. Lol, I think you really tried everything there was to try. If you'd make a video I think there would really be something to see.  Cool
Will make an offering to Ruthia which kept me with no big mistakes throughout the race. Except in the last lap, lol. I really thought I threw it all away. Well, I did, but so did you.  Tongue

Good show, Legends. Too bad so few people were here. Seems like we're a dying species.  Sad

Just a thought, but if low turnouts continue in GT1, could it be worth swapping it for a GTC sprint series next season? It would attract more racers and the racing would stay close and personal.  Undecided Shame, but the low turnouts always seem to happen to GT1 series, i guess because they are such demanding buggers to drive quickly, but footie was also on this eve so may have affected it.
I don't think the Lower Sprint is much better. We were down 3 tonight for various reasons and there was also some silly soccer match on which some may have been watching. Next season we will probably go down a different route, possibly even putting P&G in one of the Tuesday night slots.
I wont be able to turn up for as many Tuesday's as I have been, as I've done a deal with the Mrs. The conclusion being that of the Tuesday rotation, I'd miss the GT1's, because like MJ said, it's tougher to drive GT1's & I tend to enjoy the racing experience more with the lower classes personally.

But will be interesting to see if people suddenly start appearing regularly again for Tuesday night GTR2, now a slot might be under threat from the high interest levels in P&G.  Undecided

I definitely planned to be there last night, did a quick praccy in the 550 on Monday and after 12 laps was running low 30s full race trim, so should have been been dipping under 30 in the race, but a Tuesday pm of micro-napping at work (you know, the whole head-lolling thing) told me I'd best avoid racing and making a pigs ear of my (and possibly someone else's) race.  Lay on the sofa watching the BTCC coverage instead.  (Football, wassat then?)  Grin

Given that Valencia seems to suit me I *hope* to be there next week, but stuff going on may get in the way. Sad  I seem to have made a setup breakthrough (yes, running very high rear rebound so the backend skids a lot on entry actually ISN'T the fastest way round for me) so I wanna try the GTs more.  Be a shame to start getting them just as series start getting canned.

Close the darn thing, DG.  Tongue

... a Tuesday pm of micro-napping at work (you know, the whole head-lolling thing) told me I'd best avoid racing ...

Had to do some research to figure out that one.  Cheesy  I take a 30 min nap when I get back from work and it's enough to be ready for an evening race, albeit maybe not as demanding as the one yesterday.  Undecided

I couldn't get a handle on the car in qually, but in the race (on the same setup, same fuel even) it felt more comfortable, and I was soon chasing down JPS's Ford GT, which was really slow out of the slow corners (gearing issue?). The only corner I couldn't do was the uphill chicane before the final turn; I think I passed JPS twice before running off there and letting him back through until eventually I got a run on him out of the final corner and managed to stay ahead into T1 and then pull away.

Yeah good battle DG, you seemed to just get quicker each lap Shocked  Still tuning the GT40 for slow bends at this point.
Congrats LR TT Cool  and podium.

Busi went past easily to take third and I allowed Hal to unlap himself as I was slower and he was politely waiting behind not wanting to cause an accident.

Thanks for that Prof. I did not want to slow anyone down as I was a lap behind by my own doing. I was not going to make a move until I could see that you were going to let me pass.

TT has a big lead over me in the championship now. Tongue
