Like you said, MJ, we were at equal pace. It might had been a bit easier for me as I was behind and had a clear view of your lines so I was able to stick with you but not pass. After some early pressure I saw Gazza was able to move away so I let go a bit so you could stay close to him and maybe pass him. From Valencia I knew Panoz can be passed through twisty parts of the track by Porsche and F430. MJ was staying close but when half the race was comming near I decided I will have a go on 3rd place. Well, it wasn't necessary
and it's just as well. Hard to race a teammate for pody.
Gazza was about 3,5 seconds in front and I needed 10 minutes to come close enough to start a pressure. Don't you ever make a mistake, Gazzer?!
When I was close I saw a slight twitching of his car, warping ever so little and it was hard to judge when I'm too close. Came alongside once or twice and I even think there was a slightest touch in the last turn, scared the hell outta me.
So I tried to get close enough on other parts of the track - no go, Panoz is too fast on the exit and slipstream didn't help. Good driving there, buddy
, no mistakes and good show in steering the beast through that final two turns.
Bad luck, MJ, I don't think I could pass you either if you didn't make it easy yourself.
Bad luck for JPS as well.
Steve, how's the itch? You comming back next time?
X - don't you have to study on Sundays? You know, Monday exams and some such...
Grats on the win.
I must say I enjoy driving F430, it obeys me so I can take it to (my) limit - even with a high tyre wear car acts predictably. And for once it's fast enough to be on equal terms with the porker.
