Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 4092s

I don't like having to moderate team mates but since no other team has moderated any UKGTR2 race since last September (!) here goes..

Jeffrey Ruskus has lapped Jose into turn three. Further on in the lap both lap a Team Oldie car and Jose misjudges Jeff's speed into the first part of the chicane causing him to leave the track.

The traffic, time and weather are slight mitigating factors but this appears a straightforward rear end shunt and I shall apply the prescribed penalty as it involves a lapped driver and not two fighting for position.

Must admit I've not had a CTD since we moved to the new server. I don't run shadows on FULL anymore either, but still HIGH.

no complaints from me on the nasty weather.

Did it rain full on the whole race or some intermittent thunder storms ?
lol
You saw nothing but a light shower mate. Ten mins after you left it was Thunder all the way to the end. Had no idea what the car was doing. My FPS were struggling in the wet & dark too.

Yeah, the three I had last night were the 1st I've had for a bit. I actually think that a CTD during the race last night would have put me out of my misery. Wink

Wow that was a tough race!

Agree with JPS  on the weather, 100%rain at night for 60mins plus is just plain hard!
and I can't say I enjoyed it that much but it is the first time I can remember in the last 3 years that we have had this situation. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Started on inters! Pure guesswork!
They worked well up until we got 100% rain!
Pitted for soft wets ( Thanks to Legzy for the tip! very gentlemenly considering we are fighting in the championship! )
They were horrible and it was very difficult driving in those conditions  but I held it together as eveyone else lost their heads!  Grin

Looks like Team Oldie could have cemented the GT2 team championship??
If that's right then thats the first Team championship we have even won!

All hail, Legzy and Lazlow ! without them we would have been nowhere!

Not overly looking forward to the last race!
All the quick guys will recover / turn up and I'll cross my fingers I can finish the championship in the top 3!

Thanks all

M.

I think the issue with the XD 2 was due to human error by me. Grin

I tried to recreate the same conditions off line and it worked fine. I will have a quick look at the pit board in the future before hitting enter key though.

Gazza is now leading the UE GT1 championship as well. Shocked Go Team Psuedo Racing. Cool

Keep the monsoon rain I say. Maybe just reduce the chances of conditions going over 90. Maybe prevent them from going over 90 if the race is at night or if the temps are low. I think we have raced with that level of rain in the day time before.

I say keep the 100% monsoon conditions, tricky conditions is always lots of fun and very challenging. But don't put too much weight on my post as I only race here occasionally.

The conditions were always against me for that race. Lets see, monsoon....check, night time....check, forgetting to put on wets/inters....check Smiley I was becoming a major hazard so I thought it was best if I quit.

The main problem was the lack of track lighting, which seemed to consist of two marshalls holding candles at either end of the track. I seem to recall that only Spa has decent track lighting in GTR2.

Monsoon is worth keeping, just not mixed with night racing IMO.

Did you turn your headlights on? Wink Tongue angel

Spa has good track lighting around the pit area, but after that it's darker than anywhere! Grin Cool
