It was a bit tense there from the beginning, MJ. I was scared of the same thing you were. Would let you by if you were that much faster but after some close laps you seem to fall behind a bit. Can't seem to really write anything special about the race. I made only one mistake and it allowed Busi to pass. Seems others were making mistakes and I benefited from them - Gazza , Jose, Purdie, Busi, MJ. Just kept a solid driving and watched to make a good exit. Made it, not even Panoz was close enough for a serious try. Timestamps for JR: only 2280 - TT and Busi passing spinned RAD. Scarry moment, ended well. Grats JR and X. Good show MJ, Steve. 's gonna be a tight fight for Championship Title in Lower Sprint. Hopefully. TT

yeah was a great race it was damage limitation as I don't like this track and usually end races negotitating the kurbs on that chicane suprised myself with a 3rd in quali with a banzai lap i cudn't replicate again start went well inheriting 1st for the a while after Jeff and Busi made mistakes. Had some pressure from Jeff who in-turn had pressure from Jose. Jeff made a move into the chicane after I had a bad exit and got well alongside, I backed off and to avoid turning-in on him I straight lined it, but I didn't realise he had back off too. In the panic I went wide on the exit of the corner onto the back straight and Jeff got past .... it was only a matter of time my consistency was all over the place and so was my car. After a few more mistakes a charging TT and a fast recovering Busi got past. I hope I didn't cause you too much hassle Busi MJ closed in on me and I was struggling with tyres and so was he..... in the end lets just say I was glad there wasn't an extra lap Great race and grats to podium and Jeff on a solid win ps. sorry RAD for a side swipe

Really enjoyed the race tonight, unlike Sunday in the GT1s. Tried the lambo yesterday, but just couldn't get to grips with it. I found the 430 much more manageable and forgiving so decided to go with that. Managed to lap quite consistently without any real incidents and picked up a few places through others misfortunes.
Looking forward to Sunday.

Go TT! Solid if unspectacular race for me, no huge errors, improved on this track towards the end after finding it a total nightmare to 'get' when I practiced, and was dead pleased to be matching Shark tenth for tenth for the last 10 or so laps, no way I was going to get past...until a mistake let me through. Shame that, was good practice just to maintain a solid pace and see where we were differing in lines and corner speeds. Yet again, no passes other than people falling off or losing momentum, but gotta be pleased to be the top finishing stock-GTR car, except for JR, who doesn't count 'cause he's too alien!

Nah, we got Monty Pythons and Allo, Allo. Oh, and Poirot, of course. "Long distance dick", "What a mistake(a) da make(a)" and "I was pissing by the door" phrases are legendary here. Hilariously good stuff.

I know this may be a controversial statement (unlike me eh?...but its been a while ) but wouldnt it be better for these championships if we introduced a minimum attendance for people to score points? ie 50% of the races etc We discussed this on our team forum and thought that its a little unfair that those of us who have fought hard all season for championship honours now find ourselves losing valuable points to the 'johnny come lately' aliens They would still win the race and go in the stats for posterity or whatever but their attendance would be more as 'star drivers' and non points scorers. I know the basic idea is that we should beat the 'turn up' aliens too but thats not too realistic unless they fall off the track. The top 3 slots are worth a lot of points so its quite painful when they are nicked this late on and can make all the difference to end of season tallies. Its just an idea for fairer champs, no real biggy. Your thoughts?....

MJ - I don't see a practical way of implementing that without making the championship tables unreadable, at least until after mid-season.
Besides, if we could actually fill grids with regulars it would be a different matter but as you know we abandoned the whole registration malarky because by mid-season the grids are half empty, and I don't see how attempting to discourage occaisional drivers, especially towards the end of the season (when an oversubscribed grid might have the most impact on a series regular) when we normally need them the most.
