b]Division 1 - Round 6 - Lime Rock Mountain[/b]

Round 6 of the Season 17 Div 1 championship is at Lime Rock Mountain.
This is not quite the first time Division 1 have been to Lime Rock Mountain.
It's an extended version of the original short track with some Nurburgring-like sweeps and crests to provide some extra passing opportunities ( or trips into the greenery) .

Turn 1, Lap 1, on cold tyres after a good run from the start line can cause problems and leads directly into  T2 and T3, (well there's a surprise I hear you say!! Roll Eyes).  But I mention this small detail as a warning of infinite opportunity to end both your race and someone else's so very easily...so please be careful and remember that you cannot win the race in the first half lap...but you sure as hell can lose it!!!

The track can be downloaded here.

Don't forget, incident reports should be entered on the SRou system following the link at the bottom of the results table when it appears.  Race details below.

Div 1 Season 17 Round 6 is this Sunday at 9:00 p.m. London UK time.
Please be in VROC UKGPL chatroom by 8:55 p.m.

Friends in a field can't compare with the experience on this track, shame on you. IMO probably the best track this season. I just hope we avoid the screen freeze troubles that I recall from some past races.

That attitude guarantees your seat in Interleague team, unless you chicken out to race Clubman's again.  Grin

Ran the Clubmans on 1.UKGPL on this track tonight.  Everyone had a good connection.  Unfortunately one driver had a screen freeze when entering the pit lane to do a S&G.  Hopefully that won't happen for the Div 1 race.

I know the potential for screen freezes is of concern to a few drivers.  I'll run a few practice sessions this week if anyone is interested so we can make sure everyone can connect without screen freeze problems.  If someone wants to suggest a few dates and times I'll try and set the server up.

It is a problem with the track, but not nearly as serious as other notorious freezing tracks. I remember a few seasons ago when we had a spec and a normal race in Breasts there. In one of those a few people had freezes, while in the other I think nobody had that problem. No clue what causes it...

Is screen freeze a server issue or a client issue?

I thought it was caused by clients runnning Prib with incompatible graphics drivers.
