Just wanted to let you know my computer has been down for about a month now. Haven't been able to make races. I won't join today, looks like last race of season. I don't want to get in anybodies way going for the championship. I will check back and try to join in for the next season.  Thanks

Well what a dreadful way to end the season.

Was amazed to outqualify JPS, and thought I'd tuned out the worst of the snap oversteer under braking, and found a way to get some heat into the fronts.

Wrong. What worked fine in practice and qualifying reverted to Tuesday's form in the race, with cold fronts and awful snap oversteer at the end of the hard braking zones. With about 20 minutes to go, and just one place behind JPS, it face planted me into the barriers on the way out of the Foggy Esses and I decided to go do something more fun, like sticking pins into my eyes.

Wish I'd taken the DBR9 now. I seem to have had a knack for picking the most evil cars this season, though I'm still puzzled as to why the 360 GTC was so much worse at Donington than the other three tracks I used it at. Huh

I HATE PITSTOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!! taz censored censored cursing Had really good start, really close racing with Blunder, great driving mate. Go into pits after 50 mins 3rd in class, take fuel + tyres, come out last but 1, and 19 secs adrift of Mr. Oily & JPS. Got to within 5 secs of them, but by that time had fried the rears, and was running out of juice. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!! Anyone tell me how to do pitstops better, cause I suck at them!  Gratz to all, looking forward to next season.

Good race that Smiley

No idea how spanner and legzy jumped me in pits when I had my fastest stop EVER at 57 seconds Roll Eyes Made for a great dice with spanner to the end though. Just about given up catching him but I managed a couple of fast laps 5 mins before end and caught him with 3mins. He didn't give up without a fight, nice and clean of course.

Can I make a quick suggestion that those who are yet to pit, leave those who have through when its possible. There were a couple of times when spanner and I were held up tonight when I thought it was totally avoidable.

Congrats to Legzy and Freq and all the runner and riders. Roll on S10 Smiley

Lost connection a few laps after pitstop Sad

The 430 also didn't go as well as when I practiced and setup yesterday. Track conditions maybe?

Looked like a close battle going on with the GT1s  Smiley

Congrats to winners (and losers). Can't wait till next season.

Well I had to carry the honour of the Legends Team GT2 on my own shoulders. and what a cracking race...I had to beat and stay in front of Gizmo my main rival in the championship, a Royal Thrashing I think Dave, you seem to loose alot after your spin, great to have had a ring side seat when it happened...I think I have finished 4th or 5th overall in GT2 Enduro don't know if I managed to do enough to keep the Team Shark from our heals on the Team front and secure 2nd..I think I might of done this with a 3rd or 4th finish in this race :drive:

Messy race for me.

Sorry to all effected by my 'lack of skills to pay the bills' tonight. Mainly TT, who I shunted into a wall Sad. I am glad that you kept going TT. I had given my self a drive through but, when I saw that you were still going, I waited for you during my pit stop.

I could not get passed TT once he was past me. I once again 'did a Hal' as Ruskus says, by accidentally hitting my engine button when trying to cycle through the XD screens. Roll Eyes TT went straight passed.

I do believe that I said 'GLA, mainly TT. He will need it.' or something like that at the start of the race. You needed luck all rite, luck that my stupidity would not take us both out.

I look a numpty now as TT was about as fast as me in his Marcos.

Well done Podiums, thanks organisers for another amazing championship. Smiley

Or perhaps just give up if all I am doing is getting in the way of the aliens....

Didn't enjoy that and finished last - perhaps it would do everyone a favour.  Sad

Woooo!  Cheesy

Sorry for the odd lapping Gazza - I was planning to sit behind you until the end but your car had one massive warp moment and it just missed me. That spooked me and I decided I'd have to get in front  Undecided

Shame about Busi, as he was clearly the fastest tonight. We were having a good mess about on lap 1 and was surprised to get by, but what happened?

Lets have Watkins Glen in next season's circuit mix Grin

What a great opening lap indeed lol trying everything to keep the lead to you. But during quali friends called me and would've had to leave around halfway through the race so when I spun following you I just went for an 'esc'. Went to the casino, won 50 Eur not bad laugh

Happy to have beaten the qualifying record though Grin

Grats on win & championship to both Freq & Legzy Smiley

Nah, I think it's just that Donington is one of those tracks where if your car isn't working well, it's going to be a very long race.

And you beat me. Tongue

I look a numpty now as TT was about as fast as me in his Marcos.

What, did you eat some sour mushrooms or some such?  Tongue  Stop moaning, I clearly joined in the Marcos just for the fun of it. Grin  This car gives me a thrill in driving as none else does. It truly ROARS!  Shocked  I'm sure at least GT2 guys heard it behind before you could see it in your mirrors. Grin Besides, I should be apologizing to you for holding you so long - it was clearly unfair as you could go much faster on empty track. It was good that you had a scrap with Gazza, H@l. That way I could stay close and pass you when you "did a H@l". Grin

Now, about Marcos:
It was the first time I drove it for such a long period. I must say I did some preparations, I think I made 100 laps before the race. My pb was in the mid 1:26 on an empty track, so not so slow. Err, race specs, so there must be some reserve still. Wink Tried off line race against AI and the laptimes fell down 1 sec immediately. This car really needs a whole track, so it's not suited for close racing - as H@l experienced. Grin  Again, it's not your fault, H@l. By that time tyres were worn and I had to rely more and more on power-off/on to steer the beast - steering with the wheel didn't really work. Tongue  But when you floor it...  scared blink eek w00t  Nothing comes near. Cool

This car being what it is, to fix it at least partially the brakes have to be made better. I had cooling opened to 5 at it still came to 600'C at hard braking which there is a lot of on this track. I had ballance to 63,5% front. Anything less and the rear snapped around when front brakes started to fade and rears gripped the discs properly. By the time I came to the next corner the brakes cooled down totaly and I had to brake sooner. So - brakes need to be fixed.

I'm not sure if the differential works as it should. It was evident from the beginning that the car is an understeary one, like C6R is. When I set power diff to 0 I could hardly go with full power through the Craner - the car wants to go straight. But with 0 power diff there's a violent spinning of an inner rear wheel out of the slow corners, like Melbourne hairpin - undrivable. Same with 5, 10, and 15 power diff. So I finaly setlled for 20 power diff and even with that I had to lift-off on top of Craner curves to make that left hander before the Old Hairpin.
Coast diff is another matter. Anything above 15 makes the car go straight. Really straight.  Roll Eyes  You can turn the wheel all the way, but the car goes straight.  Cheesy  If you set it to 0 you get turned around on braking and adding throttle enabled me to catch it in about 75% corners.  Tongue  Driving skills aside, you need to grab that car by the scruff of it's neck and lead it like that all the time. And that's where the fun starts to fade a bit. Add H@l trying to pass and you get a situation where it's best to park it and grab a beer.  Undecided  I finaly decided to take a 15 coast diff compromise.

Believe me, I tried a soft front and hard rear and rear ride hight so high the car was almost scraping the floor with the splitter. Low wing, too and all combinations. Nothing really works in fast corners. With the power down you mostly get a spin, even in 6th there's too much power. I had a power spin in the Starkey's.  Cheesy  Besides, if you get it to turn in fast corners, you get a spin under braking or on corner exit. Or through the chicane. I had to have almost full power while braking for the Esses chicane.  lol That, or it spit me out every time.

Still, if this could be fixed, I'd take it for the S10 GT1, it really feels like a racing car more than any other I tried. Smiley  Someone with more knowledge than me about the car setting and modding would have to dive into it, but I'm open to help with the testing.  Smiley

Grats to GT2 Legends drivers - too bad MJ didn't come home on time to drive, but JPS has done the job admirably. Glad to have you in the team.  Cool

Grats to teams and individuals for their titles and thanks to the staff for superb organizing. I don't know any other League with such a high standards in driving and organizing. It's worthed to drive here even with MJ in the team.  Kiss

TT

Was funny, I couldn't get out of sand - the engine was too strong. Wheels were spinning madly in 6th.  Tongue  Ok, I did have front puncture, but even so. Surprisingly engine faded only 1% while its temp was up to 150'C.
