Possible bandwidth problems?
Might be an idea to reschedule?

It did seem a bit strange that I was sat there on the grid inside someone elses car, but when everyone set off I figured I'd drive and see what happens - however, when no pit board was shown after the first lap I figured something was definitely wrong. ;-) Well, there were still 4 of us on track and I ended up having some really nice tussles with Phil for around 12 laps. We were very even except for two corners. I was faster in one and Phil faster in another, so we swapped places many times. 12 Laps!! Yep, it seems the game wasn't counting the laps off so I only stopped because I'd used up all my fuel! Depending on how much fuel Phil has in the car, he could still be there Anyway, thanks for trying Matt - it was still fun.

I've started a prac server if anyone wants to play again. Interesting, I have rebooted the server machine, and shut down other stuff it was running oh just little things like SQL server... VSphere. All were dormant though. With just Phil and MIke on the server it was 100% CPU time on one core, now it is 1% In any case, I don't think my domestic bandwidth is enough for serious races.
I should have spent some time trying to optimise maybe, though I think the conn would have been the killer, I just ran in the door and started the server! If any one joins, and wants to play Oulton, just say.

Depending on how much fuel Phil has in the car, he could still be there I ran out about 200 yards after you Mike. 'twas fun, though confusing as hell at first. I actually started in position -1!

Sandor, Racepace and I had problems joining Matt's server so we tried out a public one.
Well... wasn't much of a success. Shocked with driving abilities/behaviour and finally ran into technical difficulties.
Makes you appreciate private leagues even more.
Everybody thanks for all the effort. Matt, Legzy and Tony in particular.

Nice try Matt, I tried to join, but couldn´t get in. And I´ve had enough of those public servers, so ended up making some music instead.

Feel slightly less irritated about losing my keys and locking myself out last night but still, annoying for you guys that you couldn't get some laps in.
This really is an unacceptable amount of down time for a hosted server but I'm guessing there's no service level agreement you can wave in their faces either!?
