Help!! I need a skinning Guru.

Any of you skinning experts worked out how to pack the skins for the Fiat Abarth 131 GT Turbo ?
The files in the mod are all over the shop.

Hope that doesn't cause online problems. I recall that the 67 Porsche 911 that we tried had the files all over the place & wouldn't work properly.

Think I've sorted it  just done the Plymouth Cuda and it looks like its the same, still haven't sorted the windscreen banner    coz all the cars share the same windows
Think if i dig the windows out of the standard cars and stick it my car file with my car number it should work.

I believe that the 911s had its physics all over the shop & a few issues with some of the cars & not others.
The Abarth131  should be fine (cough )... early online signs are that all will be fine, but I guess we'll find out for sure on Thursday.

My first guess would be to put all skins in the Teams folder uncompressed.

But you can try to first add a folder as we do in the other cars, to see if it reads it. I guess it wont read archives, but that might also be worth a go.

I can actually confirm that you can put the files in a folder called <car number> outside the Teams folder, just as we usually do.

Ive tried that but it only shows the blue car in the showroom    I edited a CAR file with my car number and took a set of windows and added the SROUK windscreen banner and put it in my file (is that right)

Edit:  The SRouk windscreen banner is showing so I've done something right. I did notice the blue skin in the TEXGTL file (no other skins are in there) all the others car skins are  in the teams folder.

Take no notice of the above post  sorted it now (forgot to put a number 1 at the end of the body file)

Help!!!.... For the life of me I cant get the Targa icons and the Bink video image to show in game the skin works fine in the showroom and on track, Im just getting the Cobra Bink video and a locked car icon (Think its just a file name issue)
Ive just named them the same as originals with my car number at the beginning.

Its all working now you'll be glad to know MortenS  It was just the SIM bit in the Bink and Targa  file name, all the original ones don't have SIM in the name, so watch out for that one.
