@ Geoffers: Your car was badly warping Geoff, sorry your connection issues.
@ Steve : Your chronicle is very well written, it was a pleasure to read.
Now then...(as Peter Sellers usually began to speak as Inspector Clouseau)
Qualified 6th and was happy with that. E-Type was perfect cornering but lack of top speed
and power exiting corners. Start was good despite of losing one place, kept the front drivers
in sight and soon got my place back. When pit stops began, I realise that I could had a chance
to achieve a podium place. Why? Because at lap 10, my fuel gauge was right in the middle.
So, I drove untill lap 20 trying to short shifting when ever I could and doing last 4 corners
in 3rd gear. It worked perfectly, stopped for my pit stop at lap 21 with fuel for less than one lap.
By then I was in 2nd place. Changed all four tires because my rear left was badly wear and last
5 laps I was doing "parabolica" with extra care due to a rear drift and sliding.
Exit pits at 5th or 6th - can't remember - however a few cars in front should stop one more time.
I kept exactly the same care pace for last 10 laps and managed to finish in 3rd and again with fuel
for less than one lap.
All the hats in the world off, for the fantastic idea of fuel consumation that allow us to chose
a wider variety of cars depending of what we want and our strategy (more real feel for us).
And for the, car most selected don't allowed for a next race rule.
I have to thank also all drivers for the clean driving. Thumbs up for the variety of the grid aswell.
Congrats for your win Madd and for your 2nd place Dyno. Great pace both!
Cheers
