All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:15 (15 mins)
Qualifying: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30 (35 laps = ~70mins)

Track: Zandvoort GP download here
Cars allowed: Any GTC-65 including the Ferrari 250GT SWB and the Aston Martin DB4 (both available from the downloads page) plus Plymouth (Available here) and Mini Cooper 1310S (Available here), excluding GT40 and Mclaren M1A and Lotus Elan

The most popular car choice from this event will be excluded from Round 6.

Time of Day Setting: 12:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Pit Stops: You must make a minimum of one pit stop during which you must take on at least 1 litre of fuel or change your tyres. You cannot take your mandatory stop at the end of the first lap, or with less than 1 lap to go.

Server: UKGTL Enduro
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) This race will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(5) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Assume it's SRou_Zandvoort_1.1.0.0, not Zandvoort 67.  Huh

Yes Bill, NOT the 67. It's the one that comes with three circuit choices, Club, National and GP. Were doing the GP.

Thanks Tony that's the one I down loaded and tried out.  Looks similar to the Race07/Evo track.

I've had to install this, the track had gone sparkly and it was driving me mad:

Best so far: 1:59.368 in the Cobra. Grin

May as well tag me as a DNF right now given my past experiences at this track.

For those who are interested some pics from historic races at Zandvoort Sandor and I went to last year:

Not quite the Silverstone Classic but it was nice to see the cars in reality   Grin

Tried this out and it does make the track look better. Recommend everyone try it.

Can't get under 2 mins in anything except Cobra, which is more than 3 secs quicker than anything else I've tried

1:59.0 Cobra
2:02.4 TVR
2:02.6 Jag
2:02.7 Cuda
2:03.0 Aston

I am not good with Cobras, so others may go a lot quicker in it, and perhaps others will have it as less different.

Wanted to drive the Aston , as is my wont. but I will be around 4 secs a lap slower, so it's not an option.
Not tried the mini., I struggle with that 1310 one, be interested to see what times good mini drivers get .
