From what I saw, the driving on the first lap was very well suited to this tricky track. Only Tibs I believe was unlucky enough to have 'Game over' on lap one. Not sure of the circumstances obviously.

I was too busy watching Ade's car and missed my braking point into one of the chicanes, hit one of the bails, spun across the track and then hit Spanner. Embarrassed Destroyed my rear suspension in the process.

After a disco, CTDs trying to join & a blown engine in the first 3 races, I finally got a finish.

Very tricky track this, so I tried hard to drive conservatively, but still got caught out 3 times when the red mist took over & I clipped those damn kerbs. Ran 6th early on until I span at the second chicane. After recovering, chased the Lazlow/Legzy/Steve battle for several laps mid race & just got up to Legzy when the second chicane got me again. Finally I was having to push hard near the end as Matt was catching me & clipped the kerb at T2 & spun again. So came in 8th of the 10 finishers.

Congrats to teammate Ade on a great drive & also to API & Simon. clap

Fantastic track, GT40 handling sweetly, a good start, good race pace, nice bit of pressure on Geoffers and co then....a lamp post. Blast!

Knew this would be a game of survival but this track teases ya to keep pushing...in the end I just didn't have the talent, or the self control Sad

Well done Ade - you really deserved that one, awesome pace in the Capri and it's still mystifying me now how you were so damn far ahead LOL

Nice to see ya back Steve/ Simon - not lost it either of you I see!

we managed three drivers in the top six & closed that gap at the top to the Green Ladies considerably! Kiss

Enjoy it while it lasts.

Love the track Shocked Cool found my setup from Goodwood worked well, apart from throwing the brakes forward to 65 (seemed to help with braking through the corners (especially on the flagstones on the S/F straight) managed to pip pole in the dieing minutes of qualifying Grin
Made my usual crummy start (felt like i was flicking flagstones out of the back) found my self down in 6th.
After folk in front had succumbed to the power of kerbs, straw bails and lamp posts  Wink i chased Simon in his GT40, he finally caught a kerb with those big fat wheels and spun it round Shocked played it safe for the rest of the race holding a 20 second lead on API slowly building it to 30 seconds by the end  Shocked clap

Well done all the finishers, bad luck to all the crashers Grin

                                                                   Cheers Ade

Great track, mostly good driving manners and I thouroughly enjoyed that. Must say a quick "Thank you Sir" to LigelC who kindly gave me a pass. I tried to flash my lights to acknowledge your good deed but they were as trashed as the rest of my poor car.
