Not sure what happened but I had nothing above 3rd gear. Going into 4th and 5th did nothing. Revs just kept rising.
Thought it was a sound issue, but nope, changing back and forth from 4th to 5th and back again at high speed did nothing.
Waste of time.

Same old story. After the promise of my previous PnG race, I thought my internet problems had been rectified somewhat. Sadly I kept disconnecting during practice and so moved the router about in vain hope it would help. It did suprisingly, and I went through the qualifying session without problem. Then the race began and I made a good start into 3rd place by the end of it all. Then everyone on track dissapeared and I disconnected off teamspeak. Game over I thought, but miraculously 30 seconds later everyone appeared again! For the next lap, I enjoyed a quiet run through the Nordschleife, unable to catch Prib & Madd, but was pulling away from the 4th placed man. A lap later, this time I did disconnect :'(, another game ended prematurely. That's enough GTL for me. I hope to return, but only if my internet is up to standard. I may try another Internet provider in the next few months but we'll see. I'll be back for the PnG race though, because at Daytona I was actually not having a bad connection so there's promise there. Thanks to everyone for their never ending patience. See you all soon .

No problem, Geoffers. Not too good race for me. Failed to get a legal qualifying lap and I had no idea, how much that Escort uses fuel on one lap in The Green Hell. Maybe this was better way to finish the race than having no fuel in the middle of Nordschleife. And I noticed also that my engine was going in bad shape very quickly. I wasn't expecting that.

As usual for me in an Enduro, had a good 1st half. followed Geoffers for a while with Ade patiently following on Not sure whether it was just "eratic" driving or warp or both Geoffers but you were all over the track When you went onto the grass I decided I had to go past, bad idea as it happened. Went in the pits in 3rd wasn;t really looking at the times, and let the crew fix the slightly bent suspension..... ohhhh now that was a REALLY bad idea 120 sec stop, and from the way the car was slidin around and losing the rear under braking I don't believe they changed the tyres,, lonely 2nd stint then with lot sof banging into barriers. Well done top few

I really enjoyed that. The first half of the race was incredible with a good fight between me and Lazlow and a couple of others. My GTL inexperience got the better of me during the pit stop and I was so intent on making sure the tyre were not changed that I did not notice the fuel. To used to GTR2 and just hitting ENTER. Thanks legzy for pushing me for almost an entire lap. Great fun. When are you racing on that track again? Well done podiums. Mad was insanely fast.

Got stuck behind the barriers in lap1 :-(
So it was you in the Porsche behind the barrier.. though luck, we could have had a good fight at the back of the grid Good but though race to keep the concentration up. Had some minor skirmishes with the admins and had to wade through the Burton smokescreen Then I tried to be smart and , in good F1 style, passed teamie Tim in the pit by not repairing the suspension... and I suffered for it. The back of the Escort was walloping like a 2CV. Sorry Tim if I caught you out with my early braking. Not intentionally but had to brake, waited till the car settled again and brake for the second part... Loved the battle at the last lap! Gave a little wave when you raced past me at the end... I was no match for the German machine Good show!

Managed to get pole with a pb, but expected Pribeiro to harass me in that Beemer of his in the race. He didn't dissapoint! He was all over me like a bad suit for the first lap as I tried to get my tyres up to temp whilst still pushing, he almost got past a couple of times but in the twisties there's almost no chance if the other driver covers the line. From the second lap on I slowly started to make a gap as the tyres came up to temp which gave the front end some more bite and with the 3rd and 4th laps I made a real push to make a good gap before pitting. Pitstop went fine and left with a good gap to that pesky Beemer and just nailed it to the end of the race. Grats to everyone who finished and also to Pribs and Lazlow.

You can't get x2 fuel offline, this is a server only function. This means that ,until the actual race online, you do not know how the tyres are going to wear. Another recipe for disaster??? The server has been up all week for practice & tyre wear would be exactly the same on or off line. & when was the last recipe for disaster? No it wouldnt, cos you can't drive with 24 gallons for 4 laps and then put in another 24 gallons on the same tyres offline (or even in online practice). The last recipe for disaster was racing this track in the dark. Just my opinion - you dont have to get sensitive lol. TC

That was a fun race, good job I remembered the track from my GPL days! Early on I was battling with Burtoner, he stayed on my tail for a while, he passed me a couple of times but I soon passed him back, until he lost it.... and built up a 30s gap to Alex behind. I lost concentration on the 4th lap and damaged the car so I decided to pits for fuel & repairs, only replaced the bodywork as suspension was going to take 120s! But Alex passed me in the pits, but wasn't too worried. That was the right decision, the car handling was back to normal passed Alex after he span and built a 35s lead with one lap to go, but got sloppy and damaged the car again then span again on a high speed section and Alex zoomed past I spent the last half of the lap battling Alex, I was caught out by you braking early and gave you a tap in the rear near the end that nudged you into the barrier. I waited for you and used the BMW powwwwerrr on the long straight to beat you to the line. Loved the battle at the last lap! Gave a little wave when you raced past me at the end... I was no match for the German machine Me too!

No problemo, Geoffers. You were warping in front of me quite badly, I tried to be close to overtake, got too close a few times because of that warping but gladly no contact as I saw it. API, I finished just like you said, out of fuel at the second carroussell during the last lap! What a finish! Tried to gamble and skipped my second pitstop, miscalculated the fuel because I made my first stop after the third lap which was a mistake. I just trusted the fuel meter, shouldn´t have. Could´ve maybe kept my third position but no luck. Grats podium boys and everyone who raced bravely at the "Green Hell"! Hoping that my luck turns for the better some day...

Sorry about the warping guys If I had realised I would have quit earlier. All seemed Ok on my screen except for Sam who was warping a bit on lap 1. Having raced the Nordschleife 3 times recently, I have to say that while I love the track as a challenge to drive it is an awful place to race as there is nowhere (apart from the long straight) to overtake if the car in front sticks to its line. Any attempt at an overtake often ends in contact & if someone makes a mistake they usually bounce off the barriers straight back onto the track causing problems for those following. To me, races here are only satisfying when you get to run by yourself. Congrats to the podium Cya all at Cadwell

Wasn't sure whether to go with the fun RSR or the boring BMW. Made the wrong choice RSR felt great except bad understeer in 2 or 3 corners which I couldn't sort out. Sure enough Aremberg caught me out on lap one and I ended up facing the wrong way on the inside of the track. I decided to let the field go but was hit. I continued for a while but the car felt awful and I didn't fancy dragging it all the way back to the pits with no lights. Hope others had a better time and congrats to the pody
