PR, go to your team site bud - a little relationship counseling awaits (well a setup anyway Wink)

Against the grain it sounds, I think this is one of the car/ track combos of the season ya know and I'm definitely not a 906 man - I'm actually going to be sad to see it go....luckily Monaco should ease the pain Smiley

Just a word of warning if you're not a regular 906'er, that shovel nose is a bit longer than it seems from the cockpit so careful in the close quarters stuff!

Low 2:09's on race fuel, 2:08.2 with a thimble full.

I reckon this will be a cracker tonight. The practice races have felt very full on with mistakes costing dearly, which should make for some interesting racing. Just a bit concerned about the various braking points/lines into those awkward right/lefts and hope they don't cause too many incidents.

Indeed Mr Legz, but I hate running more coast diff than I need 'cos it make it push
so then I have to stiffen rear bar, soften front springs.... which makes it spin more under
power.... I can live with the compromise I have, but it is "irritating" It is likely that at
some point, probably later with worn tyres I will be into the barriers on a corner approach

Same here.  I'm under practiced, coming back off a weeks coach tour (not a holiday  lol) and having computer upgraded ready for Windows 7 - arrived today.

Well, at first I thought the track was just another Tilke creation but must say that I enjoyed it more and more.. great find!

After a strange start had some fights with my teammate and could not follow faster drivers which aftertook me after that 'strange' start.
Bit of a lonely race and Mister W.T. managed to sneak past me in the last lap overtaking melee (again).  Undecided

Nice racing and hope to see next week for a stroll in the parc near Milano.

My apologies to Phil who I hit on the start straight. I thought I had cleared you but obviously I hadn't. Hope your race wasn't too badly affected.

Not your fault Tony - I got stuck in 1st gear. Only minor damage, thanks for waiting.

Love the track, hate the car.  Grin
I believe it will not be a good mariage for me.  laugh

Yes, I have said that.
I was far from the reality, fortunately.

First happy moment was when I got the 5th starting place, because the 3 laps I've done before,
I only managed a 2.15'. In fact my setup was a mix from Mr_oily's Anti-Roll bars, Power and Coast
and the rest of mine's suspension, brake bias, camber, toes and gear box.  Smiley

A good start allowed me to stay right behind Lazlow in 3rd place.
I tried my best to put some pressure on Lazlow, allowing Mr_oily to stay out of pressure
and carry on on the lead. For a while my strategy went well, Lazlow ran wide on a corner
and I managed to jump into the 2nd place. As a "wing man" I behave well, untill a minor mistake that allowed Lazlow to regain his 2nd place. Again, tried to put some pressure on him. This time I failed.
Lazlow's pace was definitely faster than mine and now, my concerne began to be another.
Simon was getting closer fast.  Shocked
I believe we were fighting for 15 laps, very very close yet without a single touch.
First half I had lead the hostility, second half Simon was a bit faster and took the lead.
However, I managed to following him closely, untill, on the S/F straight Bill gave us the left side
when we were lapping him, but when we were braking for the first corner, I cheked the mirror
and saw Bill approaching fast on us. I realise that he couldn't brake in time, so I stayed on the left side,
Bill missed Simon's rear end, and my front end. I really predicted that moment.  Cool
No arm to any of us, however I lost a few tenths for Simon and from then, trying to short the gap,
I did a minor mistakes that had put the gap between us on 4 seconds.
Last 3 laps I was shortening the gap, but I recon Simon was just controling the pace.
Great driving Simon, I had lots of fun.  Smiley

Congratulations Mr_oily, superb driving.
Congrats to podium finishers also.

Cheers

Qualied 12th with a pb. I've been working on my starts recently and managed to pass 3 cars off the line and still be cautious into and through T1. All this was undone at T13 Ascari where I went in too deep and through the gravel. For some reason this seemingly innocuous corner was my weakpoint throughout the race; too fast for 2nd gear and too slow for 3rd. Just horrible every time.

My race was almost ended when I had to get out of a move on a rejoining driver which put me on the grass and into the wall. Don't know whether to put a report in on this; it felt wrong at the time and the replay doesn't look great either  Undecided It was enough to kill my concentration and end my enjoyment of the race. Picked up a stop/go for cutting later on and another for forgetting the need to re-hit the limiter coming out of the pits Roll Eyes

Hope for a better race next time.

Don't know whether to put a report in on this;
The answer is yes, the system is there to help us all improve & maximise future enjoyment Smiley

I'm just gutted I couldn't race. Felt so ill with "man flu" last night I thought I was going to die!  :'(
