Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 63s

In a night race, Minton loses control of his car at the start and spins, ending up facing the wrong way. As LigelC and Racepace approach Minton attempts a controlled spin but in the process of this execution he collides with LigelC and Racepace causing them both to have spins.

Server replay time: 134s

Sandor is following Legzy through the twisty mountain section. As they clear the final right hander they see Geoffers upturned car sliding left to right across the track. Legzy reacts by moving to the left to miss Geoffers wreck but Sandor is also taking this route so Legzy and Sandor collide. Sandor is able to continue but the impact sends Legzy into Geoffers. Legzy then is upturned but is able to continue after a while.
I would have to put this down to a racing incident as I see no blame can be shouldered by any of the drivers involved.

Great Track, rubbish race. Angry

Was behind Geoffers crash & I managed to stop to avoid him... the car behind then piled into me, pushing me into Geoffers. I got going again pretty quick, but my suspension & body was shot so had to pit for 10mins repair Roll Eyes.
Once repaired I left the pits, only to receive a 'stop/go' for speeding (I forgot to repress the pit limiter after my stop). Angry Angry
Went round again & pitted to serve my penalty... exited & got another 'stop/go' for speeding. I'd done the same thing  taz taz taz

Continued, but not sure why I bothered, especially after I span the car about 8 times myself  no

That was a tough race.

Never really got a clear run in quali but managed to get back 2 or 3 places off the line. Managed to sit in behind the front group and gained a couple of places through early incidents. Made a couple of errors myself which meant I drove most of the race with no lights eek Then about 6 or 7 from home I damaged my suspension but fortunately by then the gap behind was big enough to ease off a little.

Congrats to pody and all those who finished Smiley

In one way a total disaster as someone blocked the track at the start and I lost a lot of time getting back to chase the pack.  Still I pressed on and was really enjoying it until I managed to jump to the inside of the track and couldn't find a way back to the road - left and watched the rest of the race by sitting in each car.
While doing this I noticed that Tony (and at least one other) actually found a way back on to the road to allow them to continue.  There were some great battles thoughout the race and I congatulate Baracus (master class demo of consistancy) and the rest of the podium.  I also take my hat off to all the finishers you put on a great show.  I would like to think we could have another night race next season (or even two) as it was such fun.

That may have been me. But it took me 7 minutes the first time and 4 minutes the second, finishing 5 laps down but at least finishing.

Grats to podium, and all who finished. Thanks for the gentlemen who let me pass without incidents. I didn´t have time to practise at all, it showed a couple times when I overshot the nearing turns and got too close to the car in front and therefore had a few "situations". Tyres were holding up pretty nicely and I am glad I could finish the race in one piece.

Great drive by all of the podium racers!

A poor race from me, hardly any practice is my excuse and I struggled to get any kind of rhythm going.

I managed to avoid the big crash on lap 1 by spinning as I saw the blockage, to end up by the barrier so most guys could pass.

I spent the whole race racing my teamie Alex, he was about 20s ahead but I only caught him with 3 laps to go, I had far too many spins and offs. At one stage I went over a barrier, but made it back onto the track by driving my BMW off a cliff  Shocked dunno what I was thinking.....  nono good job I didn't land on anybody!

That went surprisingly well and I'm really satisfied for my 1st race in far too long!
I had a good chunk of practice last night but I was using the slow CSL for that assuming the fast one would not be allowed! Thankfully there was hardly any difference in the gearing and the feel - I just gave it a notch up on the front spring strength to help the front during the turns (understeery beast!) but due to the setup I had sorted yesterday it felt great! (Softest rear anti-roll bar I found helped massively!).

I watched this great vid of Bathurst just before the race today which really got me in the mood. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGGBh9-0lyM
Note how cautiously he takes it, well... that was the mentality I went into this race with after my many many crashes last night!

It worked! I never thought in a million years I would make the whole race without a wipeout but I found myself in the zone and it felt well under control! I didn't push too hard, concentrated loads and felt relaxed like I haven't felt for a looong time! Think I made about 3 mistakes but all luckily in places that weren't lethal Smiley Outbraked myself into last turn quite early on losing about 4 seconds. Ran wide ansd scraped a wall a bit and had a scary moment on the exit kerb of the 2nd fast left hander which could have been really nasty!

I was hating this track last night but really got into it today. I think it has a really nice flow and you really do have to drive every bend. Loved it! Night was interesting too but I bet I wouldn't be saying that if I'd smashed my lights!

So I assume the domain for the official lobby is never going to be renewed? They would have done it by now if they were going to...

See you next week pleeps thanks for the fun & good to see you all again Smiley

Sorry Legzy, That must have been me .  Breaked hard but slipped against you. Have to check the replay to see if I could have avoided it.
Wanted to wait but it was just too narrow overthere so decided to drive on. report will come after i've seen the replay.

Race itself was good but lonely . Had some company the first 3/4 laps and after that is was just me , myself and I . Gap in front was increasing to 40 secs and gap behind was also increasing to more that one minute .
Crashed the car 3 times but luckily it stayed drivable till the end.

Couldn't race last night, had been on a PC most of the day and my mince pies weren't up to it, especially a night race. Cool Tongue
Twas a shame as I really like Bathurst but didn't think the GTL conversion looked very good.
Hope you all had fun, see ya next week.
