Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 549s

Gomes tries to overtake Ade going on the inside at Rivage, locks up and makes contact sending Ade off the track. Gomes allows Ade back through once he rejoins.
I see this overtake as ambitious as evidenced by Gomes locking his wheels whilst trying to keep a faster, tighter line.

  • Gomes Silvapenalty — Ambitious overtake — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 631s

Gomes gives Ade a good start once he has let him back through but is much quicker down the long back straight. Gomes is much faster through Blanchimont and can not avoid contact with the read of Ade's Lotus. After these two pieces of contact, Ade has lost 9 places in just over half a lap. Again both drivers behave in a gentlemanly way and Gomes waits for Ade at the bus stop and flashes an acknowledgement.
Although Gomes is clearly the faster driver at this stage of the race there is no option but to penalise a further two places.

Surely with the high speed nature of Spa and Le Mans, the Viper is going to clean up?  Undecided in a normal season the results would get balanced out on the twistier tracks where the elise and Verts come to the fore.

With that in mind, it would be great to race the GT3 at Mid Ohio.

I can't do this race at Spa but sure will be up for the one at Le Mans... would take the Vertigo but if it will be 10 seconds slower I may rethink about it laugh will see

I kinda guessed that as well so I did a few laps in the Viper but couldn't match, or get near, to JR's GT3 lap records (I presume the times set are still relevant).  I don't rate the unresponsive, dull american car so I prolly suck in it mind  Smiley So looks like the good old 811 for me.

Now, Lemans might be a different matter..................................

I will race the Le Mans track what ever cars are chosen but, I would definitely go for GT1 given the choice. GT3 cars are a bit slow for that track. The GT1s can seem slow there at times and a Super Endurance race would be awesome. Grin (sorry, its just that Le Mans is in my best 3 tracks of all time list and it does not get used any were near enough for my liking Sad).

Very nice to see that this mini championship is in place to keep us going until U10. Nice work staff. Smiley

I really enjoyed the GT3 championship in U8. Seemed to be really close racing across the board to me. Very happy to be racing them again. If we can deviate to GT1 for Le Mans that would be great.  whistling

i think, but not sure, that Jeffs times were done in 2007 before the 996cup car was 'performance balanced' for the GT3 endurance series  Undecided...ie made the slowest in the GT3 group Wink
DG would be the man to confirm/deny that. (the first bit that is, not my sarky comment  Grin )

You can't expect me to remember anything from more than a week ago! Especially not after two pints! Tongue

IIRC the 811 continues to be 'quite nippy' in a straight line!

Nippy you say. Is that as fast as lightening?

Can server run Spa after morrows GTL race as we, Team KC that is, want to test on Friday night (its not a private session and all but Legzy will be welcome Wink) Mucho gracious.

Old GT3 only? Hmmm...the only car in there that sounds fun is the Viper, and it will totally walk the Le Mans race. What are the choices as that'll affect how good the racing will be.

anyone done any laps in the cars available to know what to aim for ?

I very briefly tried the Porsche cup car (naturally Kiss ) and it felt pretty good at Spa, only did 3 laps and did a 2:29 (with a full tank of fuel), so more to come off of that...i hope.

Waiting for some online pracci before I commit but I was about a second quicker in the 811 than I was in the horrid viper offline. Now, I might just suck bigtime in the viper or, thats good news Smiley
