Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 751s

Aajay is lapping Maverick as they come to Redgate. Maverick turns in, there is a touch of warp, and then he starts to run wide a little; Aajay sees this as an invitaion to pass and sticks his nose up the inside, but also runs wide a touch and there is contact, Maverick going into the gravel.

Normally this would be a two place penalty, but I'm going to reduce it because Maverick did seem to be letting Aajay through, and it was just a mistake on the latter's part which caused the contact.

  • aajay_ukpenalty — contact with Maverick — 0 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 962s

Coming up to the Foggy Esses, as-here brakes too late and smacks hard into Dave Gymer's right rear quarter, spinning him out across the grass.

as-here reported he was having controller problems. This is absolutely the last occaision I'm going to let such behaviour from anyone off with a warning; if you know you are having problems with your controller, and cannot drive around them (by, for example, braking much more conservatively), you should retire from the race. Just because you're having a bad race doesn't mean you can ruin somebody else's too.

  • as-herewarning — rear ending Dave Gymer

Server replay time: 1631s

Having lapped RufBTR coming through the Craner Curves, Dave Gymer has to brake a little early for the Old Hairpin. Ruf brakes at his usual point, but in the Elise this is much later than Dave's normal braking point, and he runs directly into the back of him, both cars going through the gravel and into the tyre wall.

Because it was during a lapping pass, Ruf would not have known where Dave was going to brake, and as-here was also approaching to lap him, so he couldn't brake too much earlier than normal without risking being collected himself.

  • rufbtrwarning — rear ending Dave Gymer

Server replay time: 2117s

There was a long sequence of events starting at 2117 seconds into the server replay where Dave Gymer in the Vertigo was trying to lap Maverick's 911 GT3-RS.

Maverick was clearly overdriving, going off every few laps, and despite Dave flashing his lights and generally crawling all over the back of him for corner after corner, he refused to allow Dave to lap him, which was always going to be dangerous without some cooperation as the car being lapped was much quicker in a straight line.

GTR provides enough information in the HUD or dashboard display to know whether a car right behind you is racing you for position or not, and there really is no excuse holding a faster driver up like this.

At 2187s Dave bumped Maverick from behind at Coppice, fortunately neither driver suffering a spin, off or damage. At 2380s Dave finally gets past, then at 2516s Maverick tries to unlap himself and promptly falls off the track at the Foggy Esses.

We wish to reiterate that all drivers are expected to try to drive within their limits. If a driver is going off every few laps, they won't enjoy it, and they'll be a danger to everyone else on the track.

Server replay time: 2765s

Greg has momentary wheelspin coming off McLeans, and takes an inside line towards Coppice. Blaz gets a much better exit from McLeans, and has almost cleared Greg when they arrive at Coppice. Blaz sweeps across Greg's nose but he hasn't quite cleared him and there's contact, Blaz going off.

Think I'll get the Beamer out for this one, might be able to keep up with some of the normal NGTs at Doningon as it's all about carrying corner speed.

Well my first race in a BMW was tough. Got a pb in qually though  Grin
The race was a bit of a mare for me, spun 3-4 times but was going along OK I thought but about mid race my FPS dropped suddenly. It wasn't undrivable but just kinda stuttering so i drove on a few laps but found it hard to concentrate on the monitor and was starting to drive all over the place, after my last spin thought best to press escape and avoid any collisions  Wink Me mate getting married yesterday probably didn't help the concentration either(lots of free wine)  Grin
Hope you all had a good race, time to rest my eyes.

Was driving a Seat, I really like this car, has a nice balance to it - if setup right. Was trying to keep up with the GTs. They only lapped me once, lol!  Wink

P.S. Just lapping Shark and Jon was worth being there.  Grin
