Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1022s

In the turns after the corkscrew Manteos is following Ade and makes light contact to the rear of Ade's car. He stops to wait for Ade which is good to see. A flustered Ade misjudges the next corner by himself and loses more places.
I am taking the usual prescribed places away from Manteos due to this contact. Manteos asks in his submission if he should take a drive through. This action is not obligatory but might well have negated the penalty in this case.

Server replay time: 1609s

Wiltshire Tony makes contact with Ade as both need to avoid a car already spun at the corner they are approaching. As no penalty has been requested and there are other circumstances, that shall be respected.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1695s

Wiltshire Tony makes a speculative overtaking attempt on the inside at the final corner. He locks up and is obviously leaving the circuit. Ade makes contact as he turns in on the normal line. As Ade continues rightfully to race and seems not to be disadvantaged, I am ruling this a racing incident.

  • Wiltshire Tonyadvice — Take care when overtaking from so far back

Server replay time: 2209s

Ross makes a mistake at the left hander, he leaves the circuit, hits a tyre wall and tries to boot his way through the gravel in one movement. He loses the back of the car slightly and rejoins perpendicular to the circuit leaving the race leader Ayrton no way of avoiding him.
I see this as a dangerous rejoin as Ross did not really attempt to rejoin 'carefully and gradually' and assess the prescribed penalty of three places.

Server: [PnG2.1] UKPnG S1 Laguna
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(5) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of every-one's connection will be reduced.
(6) Remember that P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function, but our gentleman's agreement is that everyone will stick to a speed limit for the pit-lane of 40mph/60kph.

IMPORTANT
UKPnG Season One will continue to use our 'clubmans' approach, the idea that if everyone is doing about the same laptimes, it should encourage more close racing.

The cars chosen can be divided into 4 chassis groups:

A
Porsche 906-6, Porsche 906-6 Langheck, Porsche 906-E, GT40 Mk1

B
Porsche 911 IROC, Shelby Cobra 427, GT40 Mk11, Porsche 914

C
Shelby Cobra 289 Coupe, Shelby Daytona Coupe, Corvette L88 Coupe, F275 Speciales

D
Corvette L88 Roadster, Lotus Elan, Cobra 289 Roadster

Our "regulars" can be, very roughly divided into Four groups. (If you're quicker then 1:40-1:41 in a car available to you, you might want to try another car from your group, or promote yourself lol & let me know)

GROUP 1 can only choose from slowest chassis group D
Dan Minton, Madd, Paul 968, Ginsters, PR, Steve Holmes, Jos Verstappen, TrueTom.

GROUP 2  can choose between chassis C and D.
Ade, Oily, [Poodle]Keith, FMG, Watty, Manteos, phspok, Jose Arrogantio, MJ, Mike Cook, Lazlow.

GROUP 3 can choose between chassis B, C and D.
Blunder, DaveShep, Legzy, Tim Robey, Spanner, Tinman, SamB, Geoffers, Ross, Phil Gilliland, Tibernius, Picnic, 57Goldtop.

GROUP 4 can choose between chassis A, B, C and D.
PaulWBird, Alex vV, Wiltshire Tony, LigelC, Sandor Mooijekind, Lorenzo Galluzzi, Bill Thomas, Oilseal, Jimmer.

Hope you all enjoy.

I'm actually finding that the F275 Speciales is a fair bit quicker then I anticipated (it seems others are also confirming my suspicions), apologies for the late change (it's now moved to the Chassis group C) but hopefully a week will still give people long enough to grasp another car.

Hi Gavino & welcome to UKPnG  Grin.
Laguna is our first race of our first P&G season, so a good time to join us. Hopefully you've seen that we're doing Clubmans racing (everyone lapping at about the same pace) & the list of the cars available & in their Chassis groups can be found here. If you can supply a couple of laptimes you're getting at Laguna in some of those cars, that would help put you in a drivers group to start you off with. The target lap time is 1:40-1:41, so if you're beating that, please choose a slower car.  Cool

Looking forward to seeing you on track.

Hi Mauizio, welcome to you too  Cheesy
Hopefully you've read what I wrote to Gavino & maybe you can post some Laguna laptimes times also?

As you are teammates elsewhere, the three of you might also want to consider setting up your own team here (so you compete in the team championship also)? If you do, then it can be done by one of you clicking here or by clicking on the "LM2" link (on the dark blue bar at the top of your screen), then clicking on "Team management" on that screen... you will then be asked for a team name etc.

Good luck, & see you on track. Smiley

Thanks for the welcome given to Gavino & Maurizio Mr. Legzy! Should be a good idea to make a team, even if i don't know how many times we could run togheter! Surely we will keep busy to make most of the Champ races! Is there an obligation to take part in champ races if i subscribe a Team? If not i will go on subscribing my team, otherwise we will run as "private drivers".
I wait for an answer, thanx Legzy Smiley

Obviously we like to see drivers turning up as often as possible (because it leads to full grids but also driving with people you get to know improves the level of 'considerate driving' to each other), but the team championship is based on the best two finishers from each team (if only one driver attends, that's fine you just can't score as many points). You certainly don't lose anything from forming your team here & I think it adds to the fun (I know I enjoy finishing in front of the Green Prodigy team cars more  Wink).

In short Manteos... no obligation to race, sign yourselves up to your team.  Grin

Thx Legzy! I will try to accumulate some other mine Italian Teammates to make a largest team and have at least 2 drivers for any race.
Anyway i'll surely sign up my team as soon as possible after a poll between mine friends regarding their availability! Races will be only in Tuesday?
