And no Ford Capri's for Monza  :'(

 Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I really don't like Nords.  whistling
In fact, I did attend because of team points (4 points behind Oldies before race, 2 points now)  yes
and to try to stand in 3rd in championship.
One lap qualifying didn't count, I had cut the track before the second carrousel.
Just managed to qualified in time before it end.
3rd spot on grid, gave me some confidence to keep myself near to Madd and as I thought,
better power on CSL allowed me to overtake dynosaur at the start.
First lap I tried to stick right close to Madd, hoping for a mistake from him... shifty
however his consistent and perfect driving kept me on my place.
Sorry for the litle tap on the left hairpin, by then I was really trying to scare you.  Cheesy
From 2nd lap, CSL front tires ran almost all track in red.  Shocked Made a setup too stiff I believe, albeit
the fantastic way that Beemer was cornering due to that.
Kept the gap to Madd always between 10 and 15 seconds for most of the race, a few times
it went to 19s.
Pit stop went well, gap was then 9.9. On the second half of the race made a few minor mistakes,
nothing serious. Just tried to stay and keep the 2nd place untill the end, Madd was uncatchable.
Congrats for your pace and your win Madd.  Smiley

7 laps of loneliness for 8 minutes per lap (at least in pit stop I saw other drivers) Tongue
Wasn't very fun to be honest, but more because I just don't like Nordscheleavemealone.  lol

Well done to Lazlow and to all finishers.
Bad luck your fuel issue dyno, you deserved a good final place.  Sad

Cheers

I gambled with fuel and lost, that´s it. Didn´t do my homework. I made an awful start because the Escort didn´t move, it had the first gear so long that the revs were too low to get it going, and once again the homework was left undone because I didn´t make any practise starts and the long first came as a total surprise to me.

I love this track although the overtaking in many places is impossible and you can lose a lot of time by getting stuck behind a slower car.

The gearing in the Escort was off, the first gear was too long and the 5th gear hit the red at least half distance of the long back straight, and if I tried to put the 5th longer, there was not enough power in the Escort to ever hit the red at all. So it was a compromise by someone, who had made the setup.

I have to say i actually enjoyed that race, 1st few lap battles with Tim, I was actualy looking quite bit faster than last 5-6 cars on the grid, plenty of smoke flyng around off my tyres.

ONE major problem i forgot was to configure my lights for car and i didnt know what button it was and that called quite few awkward moments lol  :'(

I think top 10 was defaintly possible, So I think thats a massive step forward for me in terms of GTL, having only had a few races under my belt...

Be interesting to know what rest of you lot thought..

Same old story. After the promise of my previous PnG race, I thought my internet problems had been rectified somewhat. Sadly I kept disconnecting during practice and so moved the router about in vain hope it would help. It did suprisingly, and I went through the qualifying session without problem. Then the race began and I made a good start into 3rd place by the end of it all. Then everyone on track dissapeared and I disconnected off teamspeak. Game over I thought, but miraculously 30 seconds later everyone appeared again! For the next lap, I enjoyed a quiet run through the Nordschleife, unable to catch Prib & Madd, but was pulling away from the 4th placed man. A lap later, this time I did disconnect  :'(, another game ended prematurely.

That's enough GTL for me. I hope to return, but only if my internet is up to standard. I may try another Internet provider in the next few months but we'll see. I'll be back for the PnG race though, because at Daytona I was actually not having a bad connection so there's promise there. Thanks to everyone for their never ending patience. See you all soon  Smiley.
Change your mind mate. It's your race up next in GTL land so you have to be there. It's in the small print.
