Also, what has to happen server side to get that to broadcast in the lobby. Currently it can't broadcast in lobby... I tried.

Put a post up at RD so we will see what they say, you must have to point it in this direction "81.3.59.61 www.gtl-server.net" but i know nothing.

Just found this from the man who can " With my fix/workaround you can just fire it all up again. For server admins, just apply the same fix to the server and fire up GTL Dedi server. Good luck, Ramon"

(Don't forget to uninstall the antideco patch first)

I've tweaked the server. i.e. edited the hosts file, and it claims to have connected to the lobby. Perhaps someone could confirm they can see it.

What intrigues me is how did RD get the IP of the new lobby server? Either SIMBIN told them I guess or they have hacked the protocol and are harvesting serial codes, login/IDs and passwords  Wink

I believe that is the lobby as setup by Simbin, but because the domain name didn't get renewed the DNS no longer works through your ISPs, so adding the domain into your hosts gets around the problem that the domain isn't actually registered on the interweb.

Just uninstalled the antideco patch and changed the 'hosts' file as per the instructions on the Race Department site. Everything worked fine and I connected with the server first time.
I have to say that if I can do it, anyone can.
Does this mean the Hockenheim 99 race will take place as scheduled?
