Another "almost" race although I actually did enoy it. laugh

Couldn't get a handle on the rear end in practice and qually and ended up near the tail of the field. Car was a nightmare on cold tyres and the back just slithered away from me during the pace lap, putting me virtually to the back of the field. The good news was that the spin turned out to be an excellent way to warm the tyres, and pretty soon I was fighting my way back up the order.

Once into the race the car was transformed - it's a complete mystery to me why it handled so much better in the race but it really was a lot nicer to drive, with even tyre wear and temperatures.

It was almost a stunning drive up to 6th place, ahead of JPS and Lazlow. Almost, that is, but not quite - on the final lap I blinked at the wrong moment braking for turn 1 and, yep, round she went, into the kitty litter Shocked and letting Lazlow, and worse still my nemesis JPS, past. Roll Eyes

Pity about all the CTDs and discos - by the sound of it half the field need to sort the cooling out on their graphics cards! Tongue

Well chuffed with my first GTR2 win clap was getting worried in qualifying when i got into the 1:51s and found myself in pole position  Shocked thanks to Jose for beating my time  and saving me the embarrassment of leading what would have been my first formation lap (would have only made a mess of it) Cheesy Had to give Jose a bit of space until i could work out a good place to get past ( you were getting a bit out of shape round the last bend) when i gave you a nudge up the backside (hope there was no damage done) got a bit of a run on him down the S/F straight and out braked him into the 1st corner, could only keep a half second lead on him until i saw him go off at the last bend Sad It was then a case of keeping a good 20 second gap to  second place to give my tyres a bit of a rest.

Chortle, when you lapped me one from end, I assumed you woudl go steaming
past up the straight! but err why is he crawling past so slowly  Grin

I ran with 10 wing to be on the safe side (cant drive any of the cars in GTR2 with the wing set below 9 anyway) took soft tyres all round for the race as they had less wear, although they did get a bit hot when pushing it with Jose for the first half of the race.

                                                  Great race, love the Exige
                                                            Cheers Ade

I had a very average race. Was cooking my softs after a few laps and meds seemed to be holding up just okay in qually and praccy. So, went with hards on the rear which wasn't the best idea. Temps were fine, but rear end grip wasn't great.

I also ran with 6 rear wing and I was getting passed very easily on the main straight....

I had wing 6. You were getting blown away down the main straight because your exit onto it was rubbish Tongue laugh and because these cars seem to have a massive slipstream! Shocked Grin
