Love the track , pity i did the old "lets try the default setup for the race trick "

Somehow 3 usable gears and mega understeer doesnt quite compliment my driving style  Roll Eyes

tried a few Alan Jones type comments but they didnt improve the race pace so quit when the blue flags started waving  Grin

Great track  Smiley

I might have fared better had I found time to practice, still I think it's a great track.
My race consisted of a series of losing battles and slowly falling back. Apologies to the frontrunners - so wrapped up in the heat of combat I wasn't following Prib and it took a while to realise my opponent had morphed into Evil Clive. Anyway did my best to let you all by when I realised.

You really must try to do better Vos, see if you can knock him off next time!   Grin

You get my vote for Adelaide on the schedule for season 18 - a tricky track that demands a lot of concentration. I've had a few practice runs which probaby explains my qualifying higher up the grid than usual. A few bumps & skids - some of my own making. One I should to apologise for but don't know who I upended, when my son threatened to disconnect my wheel.
Seemed to be a fair gulf in times between Am's & Nov's - Am's would have a better race by themselves.
I deliberately missed Clermont since I have real difficulties with long tracks - my goldfish memory runs out after 2 minutes. Would prefer not to race there for Season 18 but appreciate some of you guys like that type of track.

Add my vote for Adelaide (and Clermont for that matter) - both great tracks & I suppose the fact that we had so many people entered for these races says something about their popularity.

Congratulations to the Clives & Hristo for the podium & some tasty laptimes in the process. I had far too many incidents, some as an innocent bystander but some were of my own creation... main apologies go to Norm for the sideswipe Tongue (thought I'd let everyone past as there was nobody in my mirrors for a while - ye olde blinde spotte excuse strikes again) and to Geoff who I turned in on at T1 (no excuse - my fault Embarrassed we must stop meeting like this!) After that I had an enjoyable run to the flag.

I had a fun race, although not very lucky, especially when going through traffic. It was obvious that mixing the fields ended up in a lot of carnage due to the difference in speed. Had some good battles with the Clives, but eventually lost too much time and had to settle for 2nd.

Thumbs up for the inclusion of the tracks in next season!

Good fun race.  I don't seem to be able to edit the end of this entry so I will say thanks for the racing here.

Started second on the grid behind Hristo and couldn’t make enough off the line to do anything but try to stay second at the T1/T2/T3 wiggle, which I managed with liberal amounts of curb.

I was keen to keep hold of H and my efforts saw me going wide at the Stag Hotel corner on lap two.  Having climbed over the big curb I booted the mighty BT11 down the track and promptly swapped ends.  I think the hotel residents have spilt some beer on that bit, or worse.  How salubrious an hotel is it?

So I set off after the pack and by some means passed Fulvio and H somewhere but I don’t have a clue where.  Guess you were in the bales somewhere.

This left me behind John and in third position but with Hristo bearing down on me at a rate.  I needed to put John between me and H as soon as possible.  I closed on John by the end of lap five and we encountered a backmarker somewhere around Wakefield.  He seemed to put John off his stroke a bit such that he was slow and wide at the right hander onto East Terrace.  I was able to turn inside John and gave it some welly but John must have lost track of where I was.  As I accelerated along East Terrace on the right, John decided that he wanted that bit of track as well as well and came back across my bows, sending me into the trees.

When I emerged from there I was fourth behind Fulvio but he must have had another “off” because I was back in front of him by the end of lap seven.  He then stayed in my mirrors until lap twelve and the following lap I found myself second behind Evil, Hristo having vanished.  As Vos has already admitted, he didn’t delay Evil anywhere near enough to help my cause.

Good fun and a tricky track but nowhere near as difficult as it is in 67s.
.

As for the other track on offer that night, Clermont-Ferrand is very pretty but a complete waste of time as a race track.  Rushing down leafy lanes waiting for the bloke in front to have an accident before you do doesn’t really cut it as far as I am concerned.  Probably because I have the accident first.
