"If you find yourself alone, riding in green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled. For you are in Elysium, and are already dead"

This one could be a case of last man standing… You might want to get out some cushions and pop down to the bookies for a wager on the number of finishers - the winner will receive The Skid Mark Season 17 UKGPL Ironman Award.
Be thankful the most laps I think we can safely run without fuel problems is 36, based on max fuel of 41 laps.

The race will not be moderated, bear in mind the distance and Pro setting.

Please be in IGOR UKGPL chatroom by 8.50pm UK time
(You will need to set up a channel called #ukgpl if you haven't already done so)

Another server we could use for UKGPL races would be great news  thumbup1
I'd reccomend using the server version (2meg v 20meg) and also Clive L's loose grid; http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1BM6ADCU - the one on their website starts you on the grass...

My guess (and this is a complete guess), is 125 seconds a lap in 69s. Think 75 minute race.

I was reckoning on 90 minutes but then I'm a bit slower  Wink

You have me corrected.

GPLRank has the WR in 69s as 2m15. So 135 seconds a lap. Or 81 minutes.

If I'm honest, I think laps will be more around 2m20, which is around 84/85 minutes.

Having organised this race, could you also tell us exactly where on the dark side of Alpha Centuri we can find a setup?

Peter,

Put the wings up to a high level, about 2 -3 drgrees more on the back then the front, and that passifies most of the chassis. You actually don't lose that much on the straights. Also pick the Brabham or the McLaren, which are easier to drive.

Ahh, I just noticed it's a 69 race, was thinking 65 and 36 laps sounded enourmous for those. Tongue Thanks.

Setup wise, I thought running low wings would be better, but apparently Mike suggests otherwise, so I dunno anymore... I suppose you DO need less wings on a slower cars to compensate on the straights.

A small professional tip............don't drink Red Bull before a 69 race because extra wings will screw your setup Roll Eyes
Just trying to be helpful.... Wink
