anyone else had trouble joining this track in the lobby? I get 'cannot join, track not installed'...but it is and was last version we used. Is it because the Indy layout is a sub directory of Brands 2005 ?

Both UKGTR tracks versions are subdirectories, and I'm pretty sure we've used both before too. EDIT: at least two people have obviously been on there tonight (judging by the server chat log)...

No problems with the server or track here (except for getting the Exige through Clearways quickly). Best time so far 47.6 with race fuel which I'm guessing is well off pace. Still, lots of potential for people dropping it so I'm planning on a nice steady drive.

As we started the pace lap, my car suddenly veered left & accelerated towards the wall. I tried pressing "i" in-case I'd somehow activated any AI driver... but no change. Once I'd hit the wall, I seemed to regain about 50% of control, but then it went again & found another wall. Pressed esc & race over

Hi Legzy, I was behind you and wondered what was happening! I waited to see if you could recover and then had to chase after the rest. Sorry for being a mobile chicane - that was my first GTR online race for ages and it is much harder than rFactor. Good fun all the same

unlucky Legz...obviously too powerful for you Had a decent race, if not that exciting. The lotus and Brands make a good combination but i find the little norfolk terriers evil little buggers over kerbs and corner exits. Had 3 seperate spins, 1 at clearways, 1 at druids exit and 1 at graham hill that all cost me places, dropping me from 3rd or 4th at one point down to 7th eventually ! Grabbed a place back late on when Matt span to finish 6th. Not stumbled on a decent setup for these feisty go-karts yet. The Elise seems to be increasingly outclassed by the exige in these races now that drivers have got some use out of them. And why oh why arent we using standing starts for these Lotus races? That start was crying out for it at Brands with Paddock Hill bend beckoning. Thought the racing would be closer tbh with this track/car combo but the cars all seemed pretty well spread out Congrats to Jose and Micheal up front

Disco....again Noticed Tibs disappear behind me coming through Clarke and the gap times going crazy, so ran off at Paddock and pressed esc. Nice race up until then; had some good battles with Tibs and Ade and only had one noobie spin coming out of Druids. Bad luck Legzy, that's a very strange one

Noticed that Brands is missing from the overall championship charts.

As we started the pace lap, my car suddenly veered left & accelerated towards the wall.
And why oh why arent we using standing starts for these Lotus races? That start was crying out for it at Brands with Paddock Hill bend beckoning. I think Legzy's 'incident' summed that up quite well - I've seen people do that in real life at Brands too! Banked track + standing start + rear wheel drive = debris Not stumbled on a decent setup for these feisty go-karts yet. The Elise seems to be increasingly outclassed by the exige in these races now that drivers have got some use out of them.
I would expect that - in fact I'm surprised the Exige isn't further ahead. I managed to tune most of the snap oversteer out of the setup, but not enough and every time I started to press on it would catch me out again, not helped later in the race by worn rears and an overheating front left. Must've spun off even more than MJ and threw away 3rd and then 4th in the process. Noticed that Brands is missing from the overall championship charts.
It's there in the championship standings.
