No, I haven't stumbled into any amazing inside info, but it's the only sim I can think of that I'm actually looking forward to; with no mention of any decent GTR's, or anything else.

A couple of teasers seem to be around now, possibly fake:

A few screenies which look nice but give almost nothing away. Having not bothered with rFactor, it'll be doubly interesting for me to have a go when this finally makes it out. Although that's surely 2010 or 2011 territory.

You need to check out P&G FreQ. Best game bar none (well, of the three I've tried Wink).
Road Atlanta is a week Tuesday, see you there. We have a whole bunch of new Italian's who can show you how it's done  Grin

I shifted to rFactor, as there is so much more variety in there and mods that are better than GTR2.

i had rFactor from the start and although i dipped into it often enough, it never quite grabbed me 'feel wise' from the driving point of view. The grip and handling always felt somehow detached/wrong. Im no track god but ive done enough track days and driving experiences in a variety of exotic machinery, past and present, to have a feel for the feedback you expect from a car being driven hard on track.
And yet i know some real racing drivers who prefer Rf over GTR2 for instance. The latter at least is very tweakable using the advanced ffb mod where you can adjust it to what you perceive is correct, whereas in Rf no matter what i tried it always had the same woolly feeling. It always felt like cars were gliding/skimming over track surface, no biting grip.

Will keep an eye on this new release though, as GTR2 is starting to feel a little long in the tooth. (Apart from superb P&G).

Try some of the newest mods MJ with Realfeel or Leo's FFB mod, they give a nice feel, but I know what you mean, that was the problem for me with rF at the beginning. But there are some great mods out now that really have a nice feel (F1 1979 is a classic example).

yeah F1 '79 was the best mod by far, that i played on Rf, followed by the Porsche cup mod.

I know some of the recent historic car racing mods got raved about too but havent tried them yet as Rf was installed on my old HD.

When is this new one due for release?
