Fun fun fun for most of the race, only spoiled by greed on my part near the end Nicked a place off the grid to get past Lentolo and then took advantage of Manteos struggling with Mike to take 3rd at T3. Then had a great battle fending off Lentolo for several laps before I had the same thing with Manteos - brilliant After a while I found a rhythm that let me ease away a bit, so much so that by 2/3rds distance I was looking more ahead, waiting for Ian's tyres to melt. I was pushing as hard as I possibly could to close the gap, and that is where it all went wrong I suppose. One minute everything was fine, the next my rears turned to marshmallows and I was facing backwards Lost 2nd to Manteos and Lentolo nipped past too, although I got back ahead a few corners later. It didn't last though as I chucked it off at T1 next lap and had to settle for 4th - there was no way I could push the car in that state. I'm surprised at how sudden the change was, as the rear temps weren't stupid and wear wasn't that high. With hindsight I should have been more cautious like Manteos, but where's the fun in that eh? Oh - and I was using the 184 tyres because that it what I practiced with. Saw people saying before the race that the 970s were softer but I've changed setup before in similar circumstances and really regretted it. Maybe I should have gone with 970s, but then again maybe they wouldn't have lasted as long? Anyway, grats to Ian, who was in a different league in the tank, and to Manteos and Lentolo for some great racing and well deserved podiums. Loved the track, especially T1, as it really suited these cars.

Two Ade's in the "race.txt" file, there will be a 2nd entry for ade with no 'lap data' Clive. Delete that entry for him & it'll be sorted. We have to do similer thongs when importing the results sometimes

Loved the track, especially T1, as it really suited these cars. Yo Paul! It's always fun to see 3 cars fighting in only 1.5 secs distance for 12-14 laps! It was an example of clean racing, due to the opponents fair play! P&G demonstrated again that it's built for close and fun racing! Finally I understand who was the driver hid behind the name of Ian Curnow, and now I know is SBG, that explains to me a lot of things... You kept a great pace during all the race and really deserved the victory! Many grats to lentolo for his first race here, with a great behaviour on the track, and a great defence against Paul & me for a lot of laps in single file! Grats to all finishers, and thanks to Chris and Tony for organizing the event! Cu soon!

I'll explain that at Team HQ.
Will that be a practical demonstration or will you be working from text books?

Most excellent race Got a good start for a change, had to lift to avoid pushing Lento down the hill, but GT stayed wide so no worries had the extreme pleasure of hounding Meltios ( ) in his Lightning bug for the 1st few laps. Is he a friend of Mentos? The sound of my food blender over the noise of his spin dryer must have been domestic horror I agree. Please Stop playing with the electrical appliances

Forgot to say sorry to Tim for a the slight tap near the end when I was lapping you. You seemed to brake a long way before the braking zone, so I assume you were either trying to let me past or to stop running out of road. Not much I could do as I wasn't expecting you to slow down anywhere near there, but sorry anyway.

Will that be a practical demonstration or will you be working from text books? I would have thought that the internet could provide any viewing material he required....

No worries Paul, I could see you racing our Italian friends so I was trying to keep out wide and slow so you could take the inside line. You didn't affect my race as I was running dead last at that point
