Didn't think 20 percent rain set up was ideal but what the hell do I know, that was great fun. Chose the 911 thingy (they do rather look the same dont they Wink) as I guessed it might have been pumped up in update (has it?) but I'd forgotten how much fun it is in rain. Nice to push it in front of those nasty 430's and enjoyed a race long battle with the crazzzy Dutch combo. Great stuff to get the most outta the Spiker, JR and it will be interesting to see how its awesome straight line grunt (or is the 911 just slow?) matches up against other GTC'ers.

Was a bit surprised to get a big fat kiss on the bum by Ginsters as we formed up winkiss

Nightmare. Wanted a closer look at the snail? :'(

I haven't installed new skins yet, I'll be ready for next race, but all looked well to me. Thx to all who made them, especially Ade, and those that made it fun tonight.

Sorry old boy, I hadn't had any praccy and was still feeling my way into it at that point....Plus you seemed to be going just as fast as a GT1 in a GTC Shocked Was a nice little run out with some good battles. Enjoyed it Smiley

Lol no worries, I just lost you out of sight for a moment Grin

Nice summary DG, H@l. Can't really add anything. Seems like graining coincided with me going off line and skidding out, just avoiding the first sandtrap. Had 3 or 4 bad laps, lost 4 seconds per lap, then it stabilized but was losing 1 sec per lap constantly.  Undecided

Car felt better in the opening laps (thanks DG  Wink ), but after tyres were worn above 10 it was just skidding around, no grip. Undecided  Brakes are much better, usually I have to have them open at 5, now I had cooling closed down to 3!  Shocked  Felt almost like a normal car.  Tongue  Have to make some dry laps. Smiley

Grats podys. Cool

Nice driving in the Marcos TT. It looked even more of a handful than usual. Smiley

Nah, I was just trying to distract you. Cheesy

That was fun. No time for practice or qually and was fighting my new firewall/av just to be allowed online. I started with my Potrero setup and slick tyres as Picnic had done well with those in a damp race earlier this year. Although they never got warm, they got just warm enough and I was able to make progress from the back row of the grid.
I could get nowhere near the GTC of Jeff though who was lapping 4s quicker than me  Cheesy Did noone think to tell him it was damp tonight and laptimes are supposed to be slower? Anyway whilst he fought the GT1's I was happy to finish as first human (non-alien) in class. Good race Jeff.

Congrats to all class podiums especially Dave for holding on to second place with Jon in close pursuit.

enjoyed the "race".
By the time I got to the end of lap two, both my hard wets & my oil/water temps were in the 100's.... so from then it wasn't really a race, more a fast drive with occasional bursts when other drivers were close.

Had a good few laps early on fending off Prof & his Z4, I went a tad wide & instead of cutting back to cover, I let the faster driver through. Kept up with him for a couple of laps, but then he was gone. Not to worry I then had JPS for good company. I was enjoying it, but in the end, my tyres were well shot/melted. laugh laugh
