assuming i can get my old install re-activated, i would be interested in participating in some rF events. Like most though, i wasnt ever overly impressed enough to stick with it in any of the countless mods i tried. The only mods at the time that stuck out as good quality were the F1 '79 and Porsche cup mods.

The historics and world sports cars and endurance new mods have caught my attention but not tried any yet.

Could always run with invulnerability switched on?

Whilst we're in a "suck it and see" phase that's a viable option - I don't think anyone here would abuse it.

Yeah, I think invunerability would be a good idea for CART to start with.

We've got a perfectly good poll. If the poll says that "something else" might get good attendence, but CART Factor wouldn't, we can examine the "something else option".

Right now only 8 people have said they want anything in rFactor, which pretty much discounts the whole idea.

I'm not for anything with rFactor. The Formula series we had didn't suit me very well and I will wait and see where the rF Endurance mod discussion goes before I say anything. One thing though - I won't go from GTR2 to to worse. If we get rF mod that is better or something different with equal quality I'm in, otherwise not. Smiley

Depends if it's a car I can control. I haven't driven the CART mod yet so I don't know for certain. If I can control it I'll be in the races.

Been wanting to do a fast single seater series for a while... got a small fix racing the F3000s for Race07 at BeRacing but really fancy CART or F1  Smiley

Just downloaded the FS2008 as well (made the rFactorcentral hall of fame). The modders for this series seem very professional, editing all the menus and having various options for test drivers and season upgrades to the cars throughout the season. Cars handle nicely too, not that feeling of just being on rails, moves quite a bit with some predictable oversteer and a great sound track  Cheesy

I agree that no one here would abuse it. An alternative though is the damage sensitivity can be adjusted, say 40% for example. Then a slowish tap up the rear won't lose wings or wheels etc.

And if we do a CART series, gotta do one or two ovals! Haven't tried them since I used to play the Papyrus Indycar series  Smiley

I don't think we will and I apologize if my post was applying I was afraid of that. Undecided What I meant was that I won't be part of a series that would be lower in quality than GTR2. Smiley

Last-minute bump! With only 12 votes for anything rFactor related it's not looking terribly worthwhile... Undecided

Would love to do some Open Wheel Racing on SROU enjoyed what little of F3 in Race 07 we did, but what I can remember of RFactor from trying it ages ago, was poor quality...

If the quality now is as good as GTR2 and its open wheel Iam in...is Rfactor available on disc or is it a download..newbie question?? If its a complete headache just to even get going then count me out.
