Just downloading the Nippon mod now, shame about the multitude of patches.

I've got an installer for that... Wink

All these open-wheel mods sound quite exciting, but tbh I'm not gonna be bothered to go and get rF so I'm probably out...although I'd second 57goldtop on the F3000s in Race being pretty solid for a quickly up-and-running mini-series.   Wink

Problem is that I suspect more of us have rF gathering dust than own Race '07 (or be willing to buy it).

I gave the formula nippon a go, but to me it felt all wrong. Hard to say why, but Cart Factor felt much more real, apart from the silly slow speed stuff. There is something very odd about the engine in FN, where you lift off in 2nd and it just dies completely as if you have braked hard - strange  Huh

I'm gonna download and try the Nippon mod tonight but I'm still happy to keep trying CART  Tongue

I don't understand this slow speed grip thing too much with these cars..... I copied over the realfeel settings from the readme and it felt much better when driving just on the mechanical grip of the car........ I walked past Paul Tracy at Goodwood, I wish I could have asked him what they were like but he scares me! haha  Tongue

As long as we don't race at Monaco (which I might try tonight for a laugh) I wouldn't mind sticking with it for the time being  Smiley....ISI Monza anyone?  laugh or some proper US tracks that we have been experiencing with the Endurance mod (Mid Ohio, Road Atlanta etc Cool Cool Cool)

Lets try an oval Grin. No slow speed stuff in that, apart from trying to get out of your pitstall Grin

The F3000 mod for GTR2 is quite good.  whistling
It's easy to drive and gives good feel on the limit.

To my knowledge it's also illegal (converted from RACE07 content without Simbin's permission), so I don't think it's going to be an option.

I think this decision would be easier if we know who owned what games?

Is there a profile bit you could edit for us to fill in Dave or something rather than everyone just posting? (just creating more work for you sorry  Wink  Roll Eyes)

I'm uploading my Nippon installer as I type so I think we should test that next, then either Enduracers or F3000 on Race. I do own the latter but TBH I don't like it at all.

Agree, the Nipples feel great. Maybe test them at Zandvoort...pretty pleeeaase  angel .

The Endurance mod is okay, but differs too little from what we already have, and Race/GTR Evo sucks!

Maybe i need to do a few laps in these but there's something strange about the FN mod. Its almost like its got stability control on! There is an enormous amout of grip and believe me i've tried getting it out of shape!

And for some reason the auto pit option means it sits there spinning its tyres, doing donuts while trying to get out of the pits Roll Eyes

So we going to a vote on a short-list of mods? Or a few more test nights of different mods?

Are we really only looking at open wheelers, or will other good mods also be an option?
