Moderator's Report

Shark pits and stops at his pit box, Stewprovo hadn't requested a stop but enters the pitlane behind Shark. He is expecting him to pit in the next stall so attempts to drive into his box however Shark stops in the same place and Stewprovo drives into the back of him.

The pitlane is the most dangerous place for incidents, the level of detail is dependant on the players graphics setup, use of auto-pit can mean predicting peoples movements is impossible. Extra caution should be shown within the pits. Reading the rules, It isnt mandatory to request a stop prior to it but drivers "should make every effort" as it will prevent these kind of incidents. Stewprovo also didnt try to brake or make any effort to avoid him which could have helped to avoid this.
This wasnt a racing incident on track, Shark wasnt delayed or penalised because of it, his stop was already underway. If Stewprovo had followed the correct procedure to pit this could have been avoided. With no real penalty guidelines regarding this type of incident i have to issue a caution to Stewprovo.

  • Stewprovowarning — Drivers should make every effort to request a stop

Dave, what's this change in the readme?: F360 *** engine braking?

Haven't decided yet on car choice, yet I also read the F430 has GT1 tyres, ain't that a huge advantage? angel

Awww shucks, must've left that in by mistake. It's not true, there wasn't a change.

That's the 997. It can't run on NGT tyres, they just melt.

No mention of that of the 997 in the readme: "Ferrari F430: GT1 mid-‐engined tyres"

Though if it melts the tyres it might be better to redo the physics for the 997 on the 996 with slight improvements and the F430 on the 360 with slight improvements, but that's a bit off-topic Tongue

That's another mistake in the readme then - oops - but the physics files don't lie.

Into the lobby or into the server? If the server list changes while trying to log in to the server you can end up trying to log into another server!

Going to be a struggle round here in the porsche, the tyre wear round here is quite high and the rears are overheating badly
